I haven’t seen Moo state play yet this year and am anxious to see what they have against good competition. Any thoughts/observations on what appears to be the best game this week?

I’ll be in Starkville. Looking forward to it. Feel like Bama should win by 6-8 points, but we could easily play poorly on the road. I haven’t seen much of State, but it should be a solid game between two tournament teams.

It’s an interesting matchup. Bama has good offense and we play excellent defense but our offense the past 3 games has been atrocious we are in a shooting slump.

Game will hinge on if Bama is hot from the 3 or not and hopefully the extended break gets our guys back to shooting better. Should be a good crowd at the Hump. An energetic atmosphere will help a lot I hope

I expect Bama to blow them out. State can't score, and I don't think their defense, as good as it is, can hold Bama anywhere near 65 points or less. I'm thinking 80-55 or something in that range.

Would be shocked, but I would take Bama by 5-7 points. Also, state has played poorly the last two games.

If Bama D shows up, Bama by a lot. They can't hang even with a struggling Bama offense

Mississippi State has an elite defense and typically slows the game to a crawl. I’m worried they’ll dictate the game

Us being able to keep turnovers to a respectable level (a huge ask) would go a long way in who controls the game.

We really struggled on the road (in conference) last year so I'll wait and see. Much like our football team with penalties, the basketball team would be a whole lot of unstoppable without 16 or more turnovers a game but I don't know what they'll do to improve that.

I heard Alabama is going for the national record in turnovers this year and they plan to add a lot to that record with Miss St.

Game is approaching a sellout, which shouldn’t be a big surprise but is kinda notable given how poor State’s fan support has been in the last decade. Granted, that could just mean a big Bama contingent is making the trip over.

This would be a MASSIVE win for State in Year 1 of Chris Jans. I’m just not convinced State has the firepower to do it. For State to win this game it’s going to have to be an ugly affair in the 50’s or 60’s. I will be in the building, probably somewhere in the nosebleeds. Hoping for a great atmosphere if nothing else

I think the $10 general admission is a good reason for the sell out plus being Bama & first SEC game. It’ll be a great atmosphere. See y’all there!
