2 years ago if the same thing happened, but it was the flu this person had, would they put death by flu on the death certificate or death from fall from roof?

You know the answer...

It could be a Flu induced roof fall? How do we know somewhere in the USA some roofer had the flu, was disoriented, fell off the roof and died and he tested positive for the Influenza.

So now we are accusing Doctors and Coroners across the country for lying on the Death Certificate.

And I am not going to get into all these hypotheticals, but hear are the CDC guidelines put forth to record COVID-19 deaths, with an example. The Immediate cause is listed, Respistory acute syndrone, 2 underlying factors that contributed to the acute Respistory acute syndrone, which killed the person, were Pneumonia and COVID-19.

So I think again people are looking for anything to justify their ex ante political biases. These are the guidelines from the CDC which are part of the Department of Health and Human Services. These guidelines were approved back on March 4 before COVID-19 even blew up

LINK

So the case you laid it out is within the approved guidelines. The immediate cause of death would be "Fell off a Roof" the underlying condition would be listed as COVID-19.

So if the same guy fell off the roof and died, it would be listed as immediate cause of death, underlying cause lets say was Heart disease an the guy had a stroke, lost his balance and fell off the roof. The Reporting and Accounting for it would be the same.

Again, put down the politics just for a second and look at the Death Reporting guidelines set up on 4 March 2020. In the context of us here in Louisiana, that was still 9 days or so before schools shut down across our state.

NEWS: The SEC presidents are meeting this afternoon, sources tell @SINow, in a call that was *not* previously scheduled.

This morning’s meeting is to explore the weekend’s news. There is not necessarily expected to be any kind of vote.

SEC athletic directors are meeting right now in a previously scheduled call.

Presidents to follow in late afternoon, sources say.

The same CDC that the President's task force ordered states to bypass and report straight to HHS, since they couldn't be trusted with something complex like... counting?

I have been listening to them talk about it on Get Up this morning. I think it was Booger who brought up the fact that the B1G and Pac 12 are tied at the hip (Rose Bowl). He stated that IF the B1G cancelled, the Pac would cancel also

Booger is the typical incompetent , poorly educated LSU Alum (whatever that's worth), in the OLD BCS system the Big10-Pac12 were connected at the hip by the Rose Bowl, but under the CFP System, Teams from those Conferences agree to go to the CFP if they qualify, and then if the Rose Bowl is not in the Championship Rotation, only after all that does the Big10-Pac12 relationship lead to the Rose Bowl

In order for the Big10-Pac12 to meet in the Rose Bowl under the current system, they have to fail to qualify for the CFP, and the Rose Bowl has to be LEFT OUT of the CFP Rotation, only then do we get a Big10-Pac12 Rose Bowl

Booger's comments are years out of Date, they don't have laptops & Google at ESPN, what an embarrassment for LSU & ESPN

For example UGA played OU when the Rose Bowl was in the CFP Rotation, no Big10-Pac12 game in sight in Pasadena

Didn't they fire Booger from MNF cause he was so incompetent

What an idiot, a prime example of an LSU Alum

If we play this year and the other leagues cancel, the gap between SEC and the other power 5 leagues going forward might as well be NFL vs CFL. Their whole athletic departments will be shut down for an entire year.

Even better...you could have another spike in January that causes them to cancel their rescheduled games in the spring, and they will have lost all of that revenue which can never be replaced.

The Pac 12 is basically just a glorified group of five conference anyway.

Best advice I’ve received since COVID-19: “Be patient. Take time when making decisions. This is all new & you’ll gain better information each day.”

@SEC has been deliberate at each step since March...slowed return to practice...delayed 1st game to respect start of fall semester.....
Deveoped testing protocols...

We know concerns remain. We have never had a FB season in a COVID-19 environment.

Can we play? I don’t know. We haven’t stopped trying. We support, educate and care for student-athletes every day, and will continue to do so...every day.

If you have a negative test, you can play. If you have a positive test, you have to quarantine.

These were Fauci's words two months ago. Nothing has changed. Test the players and let the "healthy" ones play.

We didn't hold a team vote; it was decided by the trustees and the president of the school.

The players have been among the most vocal in the country on wanting to play
