This is a very weird schedule year for Auburn. 4 OOC to start the season. First SEC in October, and it’s 8 straight SEC games.

Agree on the first point. Disagree on the second one.

So all it takes to beat a team is have the better SOS going into the game? Would we have a better chance beating Penn State if it was the first game of the year and we didn’t have two tune games up first?

I get that Auburn hasn’t played anybody yet, but let’s not pretend like there isn’t also advantages for Auburn starting the year off with two glorified scrimmages. Auburn has had to put a lot less on tape, and might have several wrinkles that Penn State isn’t prepared for. Auburn has had two weeks to learn new schemes, straighten things out, and prepare for this game. Auburn has also had time to build some depth, and might also be fresher. Playing in a bigger game to start the season might have prepared us for this game more, but might have cost us an early season loss as well. I personally think this was a perfect way to start the season with a new staff, we will see if it pays off with a big win Saturday.

Pretty sad you're more worried about Auburn than your team's game this week.

No, Auburn fan. I'm telling you Penn State is prepared and Auburn isn't. Penn State is about to run through Auburn like shite through a tinhorn.

After seeing Wisconsin shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly in week one, the only thing Penn State seems prepared to do is pray for luck when they play a Top 25 team.

Auburn's not above committing the same types of mistakes, but they should otherwise handle Penn State. On the other hand, Penn State could struggle to beat Maryland and Indiana - even setting aside Iowa, Ohio State, and Michgan - unless they improve tremendously from the first week.

Sure, and if that's all Auburn fans were saying, everyone would be in agreement.

But your more vocal fans have taken to the streets to declare Auburn's offense the greatest in the land after beating Sister Mary's School for the Deaf and Blind, then afterwards destroying my cousin's pee-wee football team.

Holy hyperbole.

No, no no. They know it's Akron and Alabama St, so they aren't basing anything off those games.

But did you see how they did against Arkon and Alabama St? Looks like Harsin is building something big! But that in no way means they are basing anything off those games.

Or so they say.

I’m not worried about either. I’ll watch the Bama game per usual, then several hours later be in attendance as the Auburn Tigers embarrass the SEC.

Yeah, I know of a team that played 11 straight SEC games with only 1wk off(except that the LSU game that was postponed supposedly due to Covid)made it 2wks instead of 1. Then played 2 top 4 teams to win the SEC & NC'S.

So, what's your problem?
