When did Auburn stop scheduling good opening games? Not like AU to schedule a trash opponent.

I'm not sure why the scheduling ended up like that, but I'm glad. Better for the new regime to start with cream puffs, most likely.

It looks like we do that for the next few years (tune up game before playing the primary non-conference opponent) before switching back to playing that game as an opener in 2025 or so (Baylor).

I think most are okay with it. It sucked starting 0-1. Also a couple games to hopefully get in a groove of some sort.

The season opening Classics are dictating opening games today. To play in them you have to give up a home game. I think AU and PSU were wanting a home and home game instead of a neutral site game for Season Ticket purposes.

I think Bobo is going to be a bad hire. He will wreck the QB's there.

Uh, do you know anything about Auburn and QBs?

Bobo being a steady hand in the QB room is his most redeeming feature. I'm worried about Bobo because he's archaic in terms of offense. I'm not at all worried about what he'll do to our QB coaching - which has been non-existent.

Bout time we get a break on the opener. After the first 2 weeks…. It’s going to a grind. But.. that can be said for most teams this year. P

Didn't y'all open your season with Austin Peay a couple of years ago?

I like the throwaway openers personally. Gives us poors a chance to attend a game without it costing a fortune.

Couldn't possibly be any worse than these two retards.

I remember when it took typical Jordan Hare voodoo luck to beat Utah State the year after they won the NC.

Curious as to why you think that? Any specifics to back that up?

I think Harsin and Bobo will do wonders for our QB situation. QB development was clearly not a strong point with Malzahn.

nothing except a 10 game season in 2020 where Bobo selfishly sat a far more talented and accomplished college QB in Columbia - to satisfy Bobo's own ego.

Mike Bobo also helped South Carolina beat Auburn for the first time since the pre WW2 era and had a RB lead the SEC in rushing.
