We lost to Cal.

Scored 14 points.

We have a kicker.

We switched QBs.

We have some very talented freshmen.

Our offensive line is not great.
Our defense is not great.

Our punter is great.

I think you've proven that they don't have to beat this. We beat ourselves.

I have a feeling it will be a pretty competitive game between two mid-tier SEC teams. Auburn has to run the ball pretty well to win--QB is raw and young and not ready to carry the team on his shoulders. My best guess is that both teams will score a lot of points and it will go all the way to the fourth quarter before someone pulls it out. Hopefully will be an exciting game to watch!

New Mexico had a week off to prepare and put in different motions, unbalanced formations Aubie was not prepared for. Durkin adjusted well in 2nd half with such a young team. To many selfish , undisciplined penalties, did not tackle well and lazy effort. Lee will be back at CB after missing last week which caused the young DB’s to rotate and play positions they were not use to.
I look for the defense to be more physical and disciplined this Saturday as that is the message at practice.
Confident in Hank as he grows in each game. Kid is cool as a cucumber and fun to watch.
Should be a good game.

Bobby Petrino has this game circled, but Auburn has also beat the shite out of Arkansas yearly for what seems like 6-7 years.

I wouldn’t place any bet on this game.

Curious why you think Bobby Petrino would have this particular game circled?

It may be because of a post I made awhile back about freeze having a hard on to beat Arkansas because of the 4th and 25 game that cost him the west championship. Since that game he beat us with a Liberty team then proceeded to lose out the rest of the year. Last year he came to Arkansas and pummeled us then proceeded to lose to New Mexico State badly.

It wasn’t a slap at Auburn, it was an observation about freeze. It doesn’t make me right, it’s just an opinion. Some Auburn posters took exception to it.

But I doubt Petrino considers this game any more important than the next.
