Auburn is much better known for their trailer parks. Single wides, double wides, and even some FEMAs.

We went to a party in one of those trailers near campus several years ago. Stoned it with some Auburn folks the night before the LSU game. Good times.

Was going to say, probably Madison. The tourist claim is that it’s the town Sherman thought too pretty to burn even though Sherman’s March was well west of the town.

Most is described as being in the midwest
but I think of the Ozarks as mainly snug southern, while having its own unique flavor.
U. of Arkansas is in the Ozarks, Mizzou is not.
Some Ozarks architecture:

Cave House

Still under construction, 6th year/Pensmore Mansion

OP is bored out of his mind, has absolutely no where to go, nothing to do and is starved for attention.

Cave house for the win. I’ve always been a fan of unusual spaces. I appreciate the homage to the ancients and to our more recent European forefathers, but if I had the money, I’d build something more unusual. If I was on a typical middle class budget, I’d go mid-century modern inspired.

That was kinda true 20 years ago. I take it you haven't been to Auburn recently?

Lots of towns have some of these homes still. Greensboro outside of Tuscaloosa does. Sadly most of these homes are going away because so many of these towns are dying. Kids may grow up there but few of them actually stay there after college because there are no jobs

I used to drive through downtown Eufaula at least twice a year in the 80's and 90's. There are some very nice pretty historic homes for sure... but I don't recall spanish moss. Are you sure that last pic is from Eufala?

The cave home was originally built by John Hays,
founder of Celestial Teas during the Cold War.
Fearing a nuclear holocaust, John deemed the
Ozarks as the safest place to be during a nuclear
attack because of its isolation and underground
even better. His paranoia later lessened, he
sold the place and it's now a lodge.

Ever been a block off the campus of UAt? It is depressing.

WUT? Which block? The neighborhoods surrounding Bama's campus are perfectly nice.

This. I was at auburn in the early to mid 2000s and that was basically the transition from trailers to apartments. When I first arrived there were quite a few students in trailers and a party in a park was fairly common, by the time I graduated it was almost unheard of as there were 4-5 if not more large apartment complexes built as well as quite a bit of near campus renovations and rebuilding.
