He plays an exciting up tempo brand of football that would be able to score points on anyone with the talent he would be able to recruit at Auburn.

He has a very good track record of developing QB’s, and if he ever got a true dual threat QB that had elite talent I believe that would be the formula for Auburn to be perennial contenders in the West.

Auburn tends to recruit a notch below Alabama, and a half notch below LSU. But if they had a good defense with an offensive coach that was a notch better than what LSU and Bama had they could cause problems.

Curious what Auburn and fans of other teams think.

The Auburn plane can even land in Indiana again on a coaching search.

Remove the following from your post:

Isn't everything else a pretty apt description of what they already have with Gus?

If Gus could develop a QB would Auburn be good?

Plus, Brohm doesn’t run a Mickey Mouse offense. He has a legit scheme, but also adjusts the scheme to fit the strengths of his players, and what will work against certain opponents.

Brohm also learned from Bill Walsh, Bobby Petrino, and Howard Scnellenberger. He’s much more knowledgeable about the game of football than Gus.

If Gus would recruit a QB that fit his scheme and could develop him over his career, then yes, I think Auburn would be good. It's his stubborn refusal to recruit to his own offense that is killing him (well, that and his inability to develop QBs).

Brohm isn't a better offensive coach than Sarkisian.

His name was a popular one around Auburn boards up until we played them in the bowl game.

I absolutely loved what he was able to do with Rondale Moore.

I personally think he would be a MASSIVE upgrade over the current buffoon. But he wouldn't be tops on my list. PJ Fleck would be my #1. Not the most flashy of recruiter but is an amazing coach. I just don't know how he would fit in down here. He seems to be a Midwest guy.

I’m of the opinion that he is, but that’s certainly up for debate. But Sark is probably not going to be at Bama much longer, and the chances of Bama hiring an OC that is better than Brohm is low.

No argument with Fleck. He’s a great coach.

Flexk's "Row the boat" shtick wouldn't ay well at Auburn. Campbell is your man. Ultra prepared, disciplined team. Look what he does and ISU gets no top talent.

Alabama has had the best offense in the conference 3 of the 5 years 2016 - 2020 and was #2 the two other years so averaging the best in the conference with 3 different offensive coordinators. Brohm’s offense would not fare that well in this conference.

Edit in case you are slow on the uptake is that the chances are good that Alabama offense would in fact be better than Brohm’s

I’m saying Brohm would more than likely be a better coordinator than whoever Bama brought in.

Bama has superior talent, and Saban will likely hire a good Coordinator, but I’m of the opinion that Brohm is an elite offensive coach. And if Auburn is going to overtake Bama and LSU they need a guy like Brohm...imo

Campbell is waiting for a bigger Midwest job I believe.

Man, he’d make Michigan a really tough team
