What is the difference in a Euro Pro and a NBA pro?
Their system is a club system with multiple leagues/divisions that vary from essentially our version of AAU to what we actually consider a pro league. Since they don't really have high school/aau/college sports like us, the NCAA has specific rules around what a Euro player can do and still maintain college eligiblity. One of which, is a measure of how much they've earned in their careers as Euro Pro's and if it is above and beyond reasonable expenses (covering things like food, housing, travel, equipment, etc). Which pro league (divisions essentially) a player spends his time in overseas as well matters too.
ETA: Those rules can somewhat be applied here (USA leagues) as well if a player never played in college, played g league, but was not paid above actual expenses, NCAA wise. The SEC decided to specifically target the USA pro leagues though, so that is a bit of a different matter.

Incorrect
Yep, was wrong there. Some of the early reports explicitly said that he was not challenging the NCAA's eligibility rules, specifically the 5 for 5 rule. I misunderstood that.

My exception was being wrong, yours has been being right.
Notice I was able to point out what exactly you were wrong about, and then prove you wrong with evidence from a reputable source. You just make vague statements, with no evidence to back up your claims.
That's the difference between you and I.

I mean, I pointed out specifically where you were wrong about the LSU players, but you do you bud

I must've missed that, any further specifics or a page number?

Auburn had one last year. His skill was more raw than most players in the SEC.
The NCAA has never felt threatened by Europro leagues
I think the age is more of the issue
Exactly.
Euro pros were never really much of an issue before NIL because ones that came were young guys who fit the profile of other US players entering college.
Due to being able to offer NIL $ , college coaches are now trying to lure guys who've been starting in good Euro Pro leagues for years.

That's a good point. Due to the monetary restrictions though, you still aren't going to be getting some like top league guy, but there was definitely an avenue to get some much older player from a lower division that really shouldn't have a place in college sports.
The age rule I think really was a good change, even if its implementation has been sloppy to say the least. *If* Mantas inevitably gets cleared, he'd only have one season to play. I definitely wouldn't support him having full eligiblity because of his age.
