Bless Bryan Harsin’s heart. The honeymoon period is going to end pretty quickly.

Was there ever a honeymoon for Potato Gus?

That LSU and Georgia deal is a problem for sure but not so sure about Penn State.

Auburn was 14 seconds from a national title Gus' first season. That honeymoon kept the hotel walls shaking for years.

A small bit of justice for throwing a fit and getting the Georgia game moved.

Auburn always stuck me as a program that really plays well in latter part of the season. While I understand wanted to put distance between Georgia and Alabama games...if Auburn plays a kick-off classic or a home and home with a big time P5 early. They could be eliminated from the playoffs before the last week of October a lot of years.

I would guess PSU difficulty is solely based on how full that stadium is.

That’s mainly because Gus never knew wtf he was doing with the offense or personnel until 4-5 games into the season.

If Harsin is worth his salt, only one of those games is a sure loss, and it’s the one at home.

If he can snag a victory in Tiger Stadium in his first season, we’ll be in mid-Honeymoon orgasm going into the second half of the season.

You're not beating Big Ed in Baton Rouge.

That fluke year was the reason we kept that idiot as long as we did. People kept thinking he'd do it again. He was 2 improbable plays from being 10-4 or so that season. I wouldn't trade that year, but that started the road to mediocrity, and dark days are ahead for AU.

Gus was doing a pretty good job but the Barn Complex jumped thru their azz and got locked into a contract that should never have happened. He was overpaid at 5 million but got 7 because he beat Nick and the Bama Express. LSU has followed the Barn PLan as well with Ed after 2019. We'll see how that really works going forward.

Agreed. Those blind luck flukes gave the Auburn faithful a false sense of security. Gus lost at least 4 games every single season after 2013. His consistency was remarkable
