Wasn’t this the same problem with Kelly at LSU? He supposedly went on vacation during a bye week.

Won’t let him golf or drink whiskey.

A lot of SEC legends from the 60s-80s would’ve had to take early retirement if those rules were in place at the time.

They should’ve told him to start coaching too

There is no way that swing has a 3 handicap. I don’t think people realize how to do a true handicap.
He also isn’t old enough to play the up tees yet. He has a few more years until that

I’m sure they are concocting up anything they can to try to not pay him. This is the Auburn way.

Honestly that’s better than someone telling to stop buying hookers for children though. Right?

My theory is that his love of golf was a smokescreen for his love of whiskey.
I bet the cart girls have some stories about ol Hughie

I mean, regardless of who they hire, things can’t get much worse.

Just think about how much golf he can play now with no job and $15.8 million dollars in buyout money from Auburn. None of us on the rant may be able to get a tee time for the next few years.

They could end up with Gundy or Dabo. I'd rather have Freeze and get him in a rehab program in the off season.

Hugh Freeze plays a shocking amount of golf for an SEC head coach ...
Hugh Freeze's golf handicap is 7.6, according to a November 2025 report from AL.com. He has been reported as having the best handicap among SEC coaches and played over 20 rounds in 2025, although some sources note his best handicap was lower at 4.5

I guess the Barn expected more than Fore wins at this point in the season.

Another diabolical plan by Auburn Boosters, schedule him fundraiser golf outings, then fire him for playing too much golf.....

He was banging cart girls two at a time! Players on the course couldn't get a drink!
