Then you don't understand facts.

Fact: You lost.
.................................................

You obviously don't understand facts.
Fact: The best team doesn't always win.

This is, like, the exact definition of a moral victory. I'd totally be posting the same thing if I was an Alabama fan, but come on now. Let's call a spade a spade.
..................................................

Your post is ridiculous. From an Alabama fan's perspective, nothing good came out of the IB, nor nothing good is claimed. OTHER PEOPLE (unbiased) realize which is the better team and make the statement. Again, sometimes the best team doesn't win.

You're wrong.

"Best team" is a subjective opinion, not a fact.

You lost is a fact.

I guess people thinking you're better than a team that beat you is something to be proud of.

YOU frickING A!
That's why I say that nobody's claiming any type of victory, moral or otherwise. Y'all won, Alabama lost, nobody's butthurt. I was sitting in the Orange Bowl and Sugar Bowls when Alabama lost national championship games, so I've seen much worse.

Really? Using that criteria, you can't say that The Seattle Seahawks are better than Wofford...ummm

If you, as a fan of Alabama, choose to take solace in others claiming that Bama is the best team in the country despite the loss against Auburn, then yes, something 'good' is being claimed. It is - by sheer definition - a moral victory. That's perfectly fine, too. Take it from an Auburn fan, I claim moral victories all the time. But please call it what it is.

If you refuse to take comfort in it, then no, you aren't claiming a moral victory. It's going to matter from fan to fan honestly.

This is why this post going 10+ pages is pretty ridiculous. Being the 'best' is a pretty vacant term, especially in college football. 'Best' doesn't matter. Preferences don't count.

Again, good luck in the Sugar Bowl.

..................................................

LSU played Alabama TWICE and didn't score a touchdown....DIDN'T SCORE A TOUCHDOWN! You are ONE clueless coonass (that "ONE' is more than the number of touchdowns LSU scored.)

Can you explain how my statement is considered a moral victory?

If you can't see, then there really isn't any hope with me explaining it. But again congrats on the iron bowl mv.

That was exactly the response I expected. You've got no explanation.
