Glad it's auburn and not LSU. That hire doesn't excite me at all.

Decent hire. Really glad Coach O let him walk if thats the case. His defenses at Vandy were god awful. Not innovative at all.

What does Mason bring to recruiting? AU had some good recruiters on their old D staff.
I think he would be a better hire than bringing anyone from the Boise staff to act as DC.

Good hire. Getting former HC experience as a coordinator is always a big plus. He has a lot of passion and drive and connects well with players.
He'll certainly get a lot different depth and ability of athlete to work with overall than Stanford and Vandy.

I like the hire and have always been impressed with Mason. He had a Couple good years at Vandy despite having an impossible job and was lights out at Stanford.
