Ran for 444 yards on them.
Plus they still have Willie Martinez on their staff, don't they?

OMG. Hahahha. Laughing at Auburn. Hahahah

They hired a bad coach. Haha. They hired a good coach. Hahaha.

I swear, the fricking maturity level of thos board has gone to shite. Take your arse back to Rivals
This place is juvenile for sure.

But in defense of some that are laughing, y'all did hire McGriff and possibly Hand. They may be fine coaches but an outsider will look at the Saints secondary and PSU's oline and wonder what the hell Gus saw in them to make him think he absolutely HAD to bring them to Plains.

All the while the AU offensive coaching staff has gone untouched thusfar with the exception of the only area (Grimes/oline) that was solid this year.

I forgot all about McGriff. That Saints secondary sure looked great under his watch.

Eh, the last time Gustav and Hand worked together, they were co-OCs on an offense that averaged 570 yards and 47 points per game.

Maybe they can regain some of that mojo. We'll see, I guess.

Seems like a fine hire, but I'm confused over them forcing out the last guy

I do not think he was forced out.

He has health concerns and can work with his son in Cincy. I hate we lost him but I am okay with Hand.

Hand and Gus were co coordinators at Tulsa. I think Gus knows him well, may not look like the greatest hires but we got laughed at when we hired JB and look how that turned out.

According to USA Today:

quote:

Hand and Auburn coach Gus Malzahn worked together at Tulsa in 2007-08 and have remained close friends ever since. Hand is otherwise known for his appearance on the television show Chopped.

I remember him beating Bradley Peveto and Cameron in the quarterfinals. My God that rib rub looked spectacular.
