As I watch games at Jordan Hare over the past 10 years, there always seems to be something strange in regards to the officiating.

So this past Saturday (like every Saturday), I'm watching the 2:30 game. And wouldn't you know, there are two HUGE calls that go in Auburn's favor. You know which ones I am talking about.

I have some close Auburn friends that even texted me, typical Auburn officiating with a laugh.

I just don't know how you can call a TD when the ball lands before the goal line...

Agree/Disagree?

Ziemba holding call on long 3rd down conversion

fake PI call on Arkansas gives them a TD

bad spot on 4th down catch by Williams gives Arky 1st down

Roughing the passer on 3rd down when we stopped them gives Arky first down. obviously not a roughing the passer for anyone who saw replay.

there were MANY bad calls that went against us too.

It's just that everybody who hates Auburn likes to isolate the ones that have gone our way and use that evidence only as proof that we (a program that had a losing season in 2008) are paying off the league.

It's fricking laughable that you guys aren't smart enough to figure out that the SEC refs are just incompetent.

My advice: watch the games with people who actually know about the game and quit just reacting based on your own biases.

SEC refs are fricking awful, they heavily favor the home team. Did you just start watching SEC football this year?

It was definetly a poorly officiated game both ways. Granted both calls went Auburns way, but according to the rules, I don't think video evidence proved "without a shadow of doubt" that the calls could be overturned. We were fortunate enough to get these calls but have been on the other end many times as well.

Usually the refs only get the blame for the game when there's a controversial call during an actual contest.

LSU whupped Auburn last year. It wasn't fault of officiating. When France fell to the Germans, it wasn't because of the weather.

AU just beat Arky by 22 but it was the refs fault.

AU was hosed by officiating early and often against LSU at y'alls place last year. We were taken out of that game by officials before the first quarter was over. Granted we played like crap that day and it wouldn't of mattered anyway.

And for all the people saying we always get calls at Jordan-Hare, did any of you watch the UK game last year?

Lot of cogent responses in here from Auburn fans.

It's very different at Auburn. Admittedly by your own. LSU wasn't even playing so spare me the bias remarks. I haven't even referenced REFGATE 06

Saturday's game was about the worst officiated game that I've ever seen.

But don't kid yourself...any points that the ref's gave Auburn only made up for the one's that they had previously taken away....

You are correct. It wouldn't have mattered but we were hosed early until the refs figured out they didn't need to in that case.

Auburn got two big calls against Ark but also Ark's no call pushoff by Childs and the horrible holding call on Ziemba. I think we got the better end of the calls but it didn't affect the game that much, meaning to change the outcome.

Also don't forget last week against kentucky we got screwed hard core with 45 yards of the worst penalties I've seen called in a while.
