Read on an Ole Miss board that he may not end up with a spot at Auburn anymore. To late of a qualifier.

Can anyone clarify? Ole Miss really wanted the kid.

Apparently has the test scores and grades to qualify but is waiting for clearance from the NCAA. I think he had to do some work over the summer to qualify, so his clearinghouse materials were submitted later than most. AU holding its breath that the NCAA gets to it in time to get him on campus this fall.

He has the test scores to qualify and is just waiting for the NCAA Clearinghouse.

Ok thanks guys, rooting for the kid to get into school. Would hate for a player of his caliber to have to go JUCO or prep.

ETA: Im not big on left overs, he obviously wanted to be at AU so I hope me makes it.

He's most likely heading to Juco. He and Swain are the two casualties of not being able to pass high school.

He counts against our 25 so his spot is safe

From that it seems more along the lines that he has qualified, but Auburn has given his spot to someone else because they didn't think he'd qualify. We got a scholly tre. You got to sit ou anyway so come to the future "no depth at RB" school that really wanted you

Yancy Porter is way off. We have plenty of scholarships available.

I am 99% sure that if he qualifies, we will have a spot for him. We are extremely thin at RB this year. 2012 is another story.

There's plenty of room. We only have around 73 scholarship players this year. We'll wait on him as he's an important piece from last year's class. WDE24 is also correct, he has the test scores. We're just waiting on the NCAA.

I catch myself saying this a lot, but the fact is Yancy has some pretty damn good sources.

Be funny if your RB depth chart suddenly takes a hit...

I don't know anything about him, but I know AU didn't sign more than 25 this year, has already had one not qualify and is well below the 85 limit. Thus, any suggestion that there isn't room for him is idiotic. Not to mention that AUs RB depth is poor and Tre Mason will likely play this year if he gets in.
