We'll beat A&M, Arky, OM and probably LSU.
Auburn beating LSU this year is unlikely-
Wins by Auburn in Baton Rouge rarely occur. It has happened one time this century.
Did I offend?
Why I'm being downvoted, road team always struggles in this series.

AU isn't close to there talent and depth wise yet. 6-6 or 7-5 is likely, but we comin'

Colorado is the only school with more unknowns than us. There is no way anybody can predict where the wins will or won't be.

Auburn arrogance on full display here.

Auburn might win 2 SEC games this year. That’s ok though.

Maybe. But I see no arrogance in any comments….

Losing to Cal in week 2 but then beating LSU or Alabama is definitely on the table for Freeze
More likely that he beats someone he shouldn't first then loses a game they shouldn't later when the season is on the line.

quote:Hell, just having a staff, specifically the HC (looking at you Harsin) that gives a shite & players that respect the coach and will play their best should add a couple of more wins over last season with Harsin's shitshow. 8-4 should be expected this year, anything less and it would be injury & depth related. JMO.

Stop being so sensitive.
We have no idea what our team will look like. We expect it to look and play better than last year, but how will that equate to more wins, we do not know.
With that said
15-0 Ship!

They will get LSU. I don't think Kelly has figured out what this rivalry is all about just yet. He will.
Actually, hassn't Freeze given Bama fits? I seem to remember games that OM shouldn't have been able to compete they either won or Bama had to fight for their lives to win.

Only HC that was ever near 3 in a row vs Saban at Bama.
There is a reason Saban wanted him on staff.

eek 4: at Texas A&M (L)
Week 5: vs. Georgia (L)
Week 6: Bye
Week 7: at LSU (L)
Week 8: vs. Ole Miss (L)
No way we lose all four of these in a row. I put our % chance of winning each game like this:
33%- at A&M
15%- Georgia
20%- at LSU
60%- Ole Miss
That works out to 1.28 wins in all probability…. Likely just one but a small chance for two.
I also think we beat Bama to finish 8-4
Most likely losing to Georgia, at LSU, at A&M, and at Arky.

Freeze is on the same redemptive arc that Bruce Pearl was on and he is going to absolutely put everything in coaching up with what he’s got and get every ounce of production he can get out of the kids. I will believe that until proven otherwise and will gladly eat crow.
He is not going to be looking for the next big contract any time in the next 2-3 years at least and is going to pour his heart into recruiting like crazy to prove a point.
This stop for him is a bit different than others, one of his best friends Malzahn coached here and was successful and he is not scared of being sandwiched between Bama and Georgia as he has shown in recruiting.
Now the talking and preparing will have to translate to results on the field. He has always prided himself on turning around things but all I can hope for is if he does leave, then he does not leave a dumpster fire behind.
I am still not onboard with the hire due to his past issues, but since I have no say in that matter, it is what it is and will still cheer for our team no matter who is the head coach. For a lot of us, AU means a lot more than just the football team.
I think we end up at 7-5 but win our bowl game and have positive momentum going into 2024 when the playoff field expands.

Ah. You’re right. What are folks thinking. The underdog has never in the history of the sport won a game. Our mistake.

what makes me laugh.......there is a line already when one team hasn't named a starting QB, OL, or WR's.

This is one of the few years that I am excited when people predict Auburn will be terrible.
Not because we will be good. Because we won’t.
What Auburn needs right now is MOMENTUM. We need to show recruits that we are trending up. The best way to do that is with 5-7 and 6-6 predictions and lots of naysayers.
If we beat the predictions by a game or maybe two - every recruit will listen carefully to the sales pitch out coaches give them.
Want to play now? We won 7-8 games with a bunch of 3 stars.
