Uhh. No. That's not it at all.

Think of it as like a Mercedes vs a Toyota Corolla. Both will get you where you want to go (maybe). One brand can charge a premium. The other has to sell it cheap to attract customers.

But they really aren't. I don't think some of you Bama people realize that Bama now ranks behind UAB academically and the margin for being passed by Samford and falling to 4th in the state is razor thin.

The one that charges a premium in your example is more likely to be the one not running and more expensive to fix. A Corolla is exponentially more reliable than a Mercedes.

Also, go back to my superiority complex comment from this afternoon. This arse hole thinks Auburn is a Mercedes get the frick out of here. The difference is about as big as king ranch vs a platinum f150.

AUTiger789 you are absolute joke bro. UT Knoxville has over 70 K first year applicants this year. Auburn around 55 K applicants. UT is slightly more selective. I really don’t care but you act like Auburn is some academic powerhouse. It’s really comical how highly you think of yourself. You’re an average SEC school. Your football program is irrelevant and now your basketball team is too. You get lucky like every 10 years and suck again. Auburn is our 4th best home game this year. No one really cares much about Auburn.

Some people are just Toyota Corolla people. That's okay.

Bama is a better deal. AU is like 65k.

Who has a better alumni network?

No one gives a shite about Tennessee who hasn't won an SEC Title in your lifetime.

I hope you enjoyed your night out at the Plano Chili's.

This oozes Lil Bro Syndrome. Auburn is a completely average state university that most people outside of the south have either never heard of or think is in Georgia. Auburn smells like cow shite on its best days and is built on top of a trailer park where most students live at some point during their studies and they convince themselves living in a trailer in college and rolling trees with toilet paper to celebrate their football team winning are completely normal.

AU is not "average" academically at all.

LOL I literally pegged you without you even giving any details. I'm pretty good at that type of stuff.

I'm more of a Highland Park type, FYI

Dude ignore the bs you read online for a minute and ask yourself who is the dumbest person you’ve met to get into Auburn? Then you should realize it’s not that hard to get in. My brother was accepted to Auburn within 1 week of applying and had a 2.9 GPA in high school. I’ve always been amazed at Auburn grads who think Auburn is like MIT or Harvard. Congratulations you can spell your fricking name and color in the lines it doesn’t make you a genius.

AU is not a place you avoid like you make it seem. They're excellent in several areas like engineering, agriculture, aviation, and veterinary medicine.

Oh I’m sure. People who are actually from Dallas with money to go Saint Marks or Jesuit. I doubt you know shite about Dalllas. Most of those kids go to UT-Austin, Vanderbilt or some Ivy League school. I seriously doubt you have Highland Park money. No way someone who thinks Auburn is this national powerhouse is smart enough to live there.

The Dallas suburbs such as Plano, Southlake, etc. are better than any place you’ve ever lived. This is a sports forum so I’ll put your dumb arse on ignore.

Enjoy your what 5th or 6th straight losing season. Maybe you can make up some national championships to make your program look better. ??. Hey little Pearl will have you back in the NIT again for the second straight year! Great times on the Plains!

He got into Auburn within 1 week of applying, Bama after a month and accepted to Tennessee for spring semester. Auburn, Bama and Tennessee are all pretty easy to get accepted. I understand being proud big your school but you sound like a fricking pussy honestly.

I’ll take issue with this. Auburn is a hair more selective these days.

I’m not making any sort or judgement on any of the schools. My second oldest is at Alabama on an accelerated master’s track as I type this.

But Auburn was way harder on the financial aid aspect from where I stand compared to Alabama.

A key word you mentioned is a “hair” more selective. It’s more like a hair on the tallest midget’s arse. The trailer park in Auburn is full so they can’t take everyone anymore you have to know how to remember the breathe to get accepted.

Let’s just say my buddies who studied business and law at Alabama are doing extremely well for themselves.

Auburn is more similar to Mississippi State than it is MIT or Harvard.

Haha. Sure. I'm not Indian. As I said, Highland Park is more my style.
