Auburn Boosters seem to be going to war with the President now.

Sunday night update on Auburn president Chris Roberts' attempts to finalize a deal with John Cohen as the new AD --

despite pushback from a variety of places over the last 24 hours, it's trending towards Roberts holding firm and hiring Cohen

So does this mean if the President bucks the boosters that the President will have to be "dealt with" like Harsin?

And does that mean Cohen is DOA too?

Any AD and new football coach is DOA there.

Your thread is stupid. There is no war. We are going to hire Cohen

No war, he is just listen to comments from all angles. The decision is made, but in the end he doesn't want anyone with power to feel he ignored them. These last few hours have been feedback time. Nothing has changed his mind and most don't have a problem with it.

I hope AU boosters win and frick over Cohen for being an ungrateful jerk. He played baseball at Miss State, he was an assistant and then head coach at MSU. We let him sit in on meetings with previous MSU AD's so he could learn how to succeed being one. Then we made him our AD while paying him almost twice was Auburn was currently paying theirs. And the thank we get is him screwing us over.

I hope Auburn decides not to take him and then MSU cuts ties and hires another AD. That would be so awesome

You understand most Auburn writers have no inside information and have no qualms about putting out false information for clicks right

So you're saying that Auburn writers don't care about having integrity?

Seems like a theme with that university.

You can say it all day long. But it's being reported by 247 people and on3 that the pushback is real.

This is even floating around on 247:

Also the story of his wife going after one of the coaches and ultimately caused him to move and then replaced with an ultra woke coach that destroyed the team. That team went to the final 4 two times.

Maybe a MS ST fan can tell you more about it.

What's wrong with the article being posted on 247?

Seems like his wife is a good person.

Auburn could use more of those.

This is totally embarrassing. I guess John is a pride guy, too.

I might be showing up at Ole Miss games soon, donned in Red & Blue screaming GO REBELS! This is just too woke for me.

This is the problem
With these programs, people need to shut up and send their money or go away!

MSU are rejoicing now! Why? Maybe Auburn might get lucky and hire Dan Mullen which was his top choice at MSU. Right now, I think he would do it again with him as his first choice. Good Luck

Do you think Dan Mullen would go to Auburn since your former AD hired him to be MSU HC.

Mullen is a damn head case. He is one of the worst in-games coaches I've ever seen and an embarassment with the media. Florida couldn't dump him fast enough. He'll lose at least 1-2 games a year on stupid game management......Yeah, go get him barn.

Mullen Is the best coach MSU ever had, but Cohen did not hire him. He did hire Joe Moorhead, but got Leach. He will be judged by this hire. The other candidates were from Utah State and New Mexico State, we wanted someone that understood the SEC and what it takes.
