Best chance we have against y'all is for our D-Line to keep up the good play from the past two weeks (10 sacks, 2 forced fumbles in our past two games), and force Bo to make mistakes.

I've watched the past two OM games and came away pretty impressed at the OM defensive front. Those guys play hard and our O-line hasn't exactly been pushing anyone around.

Unless Harsin and Bobo have put some new wrinkles in over the bye week, I think there's a good chance the Auburn run game gets shut down (relatively). It hasn't been very good against the better teams we've played. The caveat being if Bo gets going on the ground. If they give him some designed QB runs and he has success, it just makes it very difficult for opposing defenses to the shut down the QB and RBs both.

I don't know which way this game goes and won't be surprised at either team winning. It should be a good game.

Good point about Hooker. Our scheme against Jefferson was absolutely atrocious - no blitzes, no pressure, just let him run wild. I thought we did a pretty good job against Hooker, FWIW.

Something that does give me hope is we've already shown we can win in a hostile road environment. Checkered Neyland is a tough place to play. Auburn is obviously a better football team than Tennessee, but if our offense brings their A game and the defense continues to play hard, we have a shot in Auburn on Saturday night.

Sauces are saying they are high on him coming back after the bye week.

Nice. He's been sorely missed. Having him and McClain both in will be big.

I was screaming at the TV the entire first half. The 2nd level of our defense would just stand their flat-footed waiting on the runner to initiate contact instead of attacking the ball. It was awful and they would carry the defender an extra 4 yards every single time.

Max Johnson and Bo are two completely different runners. Like not even in the same level.

Why would any team spy Max Johnson?

Not sure Ole Miss has ever beaten a ranked Auburn Team, certainly not in the last 50 years. In fact most had losing records.

NOTE: Auburn went undefeated the next year after this 2003 loss, One Ref actually signaled TD, but we dropped it.

ETA: Record since 1971 Auburn 32-6...

Because early on, he was beating us outside the pocket. When we started spying him, we forced him to stay in the pocket. The results were two forced fumbles and multiple sacks. Johnson is not a running QB, but he has enough athleticism to make you honor his legs.

My initial thought is that Auburn and Ole Miss must have never played much before the creation of the SEC West.

I don't have a feel for this game tbh.

Ole Miss is fun as hell to watch. Your defense looks better and even missing guys, that offense just keeps finding ways to score.

What works in our favor is the sheer number of tough games y'all have played without a break and it being at home. Getting a bye after Tulane is insane.

I hope it is a good game and no one gets injured.

My early thoughts are that we’ll be incredibly fortunate to eek out a victory on the Plains this weekend. Good team or bad, we never win in that stadium.
