Honestly, I have no reason to think your defense is any worse than ours.

friendly question, but did you happen to see the LSU-Missouri game? At least two times Missouri caught a pass with not one LSU defender in the frame he was so wide open.

I feel better today than I did last Monday, but LSU's defense still has a ton of work to do.

LSU pressuered the QB better, but South Carolina had guys running wide open on several plays. I still don't feel good about this Defense.

I saw the last qtr of that game and watched the whole State game. I'll give you that LSU has struggled a lot this year in pass defense. What you can take comfort in is that Auburn does not run any complex routes. It's all Go routes, curls, or quick screens. And about 90% of the targets are to one guy, Seth Williams. And he has shown a tendency to disappear with a good corner on him. Just like most Malzahn offenses, if you can stop our run game, he is virtually lost after that.

The flip side for Auburn on defense is they haven't shown the ability to stop much of anything; pass or run. On 3rd down and less than 6 or 7 yards, teams are converting at a pretty high percentage (I'm too lazy to go look it up, but it has to be very high just going off memory).

Outside of one half against UK and the first qtr of the USCe game, this Auburn team has just looked bad.

Good chance there is a combined 1000 yards of offense

Lol, LSU cannot do that. Even with sack yardage counted we gave up 5.8 YPC to SCar. 7.3 YPC if you remove sack yardage. We are lucky we got out to a big lead because if not it would have been a long, long night.

Then maybe that bodes well for Auburn. Of course that depends on Gus feeding the actual best RB on the team instead of the 5'8" rb with a couple of nice highlights in 3 seasons.

Idk, I hope it's an exciting, fun game. Watching some of the garbage Gus has done over the last 4 or 5 seasons combined with the start to this season has just made me totally apathetic about my favorite team playing my favorite sport. to a good game

LSU only "stopped" the run vs MSU because they didn't even try. The other 3 opponents did, and none are exactly 1997 Nebraska.

Vs. South Carolina they did slightly better on runs up the middle but they can't keep containment. Any type of sweep, outside toss, etc. it's an almost guaranteed 7+ yards.

Have they announced the officiating crew yet?

Big part of the game plan for us.

Hopefully LSU has multiple TDs called back by phantom holding calls, and AU scores on plays where we tackle entire LSU defense with nary a flag in sight.

All you need to do is find #18 and run the ball to a point about 3 ft to his left or right.

Follow that up with a route anywhere between the hashes and y'all will do fine.

I hope it ends with LSU kicking a field goal to win it after the refs give them an extra chance due to some BS penalty.

You seem to assume that AU has coaches that can exploit this. Have you seen the patented Gus Malzahn Route Tree?
