State is clearly the better team but we have actually held up pretty well against them over the last two seasons. AU could have easily taken 2 of 3 in Starkville this year and we are a much better team at the moment. On the flip side AU couldn't keep State off the base paths in any one of the 3 games and just as easily as AU could have won the series, we could have also been swept. I hate having to play another SEC team but I would much rather face State than Vandy who torched us 4 times this year.

Go Tigers. Never thought I would say that in baseball.

Game one is way to big to do that. You throw Small and set up your rotation for the rest of the week.

Auburn isn't Jackson State.

State is very strong, no doubt.

I think Arky makes it all the way.

If Lemonis does that you need to fire him on the spot. That's a good way to lose the first game.

Exactly. That would be like sending your ace out there and telling him to throw his 2nd or 3rd pitch 90% of the time, just so he doesn't show his best stuff. Makes zero sense.

...and Plumlee is pitching really well right now. We shouldn't be afraid to give him the ball vs. Vandy or L'ville.

Yea but I feel confident in Plumlee. He pitched a hell of a game against Stanford.

Is there any word on JT Ginn? Will he be back or is he done for the year? Gonna be tough to make it through the CWS without our Saturday starter especially if we drop a game at any point

I don’t think they can continue against Arky or anyone that comes out of the other side.

Great story but I think it’s coming to an end.

No, just no. You play to win the game in front of you, not the next one esp in Omaha.

According to Lemonis, JT was ready to pitch on Monday if need be. He is a full go for Omaha, and a key component to us possibly winning it all.

So if both Miss St and Vandy win their openers, that 1-0 game could be Ginn vs Rocker? That would be amazing.

If this doesn't happen, Lemonis should be questioned. Plum has good enough stuff to win us the first game. Small should pitch game 2 regardless of win or loss in the first game. If we make it to game 3, who pitches? Is Ginn good to go?

My guess is Plumlee will go against Vandy. It's up in the air, we have only announced our starter for game one.

Whew, good to see we don't have some of you as our coaches. Small is a lock of Game 1. That sets him up for later in the week, i.e. availability. No decision has been made for Game 2, but I would figure Plumlee.

Who say Louisville won’t beat vandy. They’re hot as well

Poor decision here. Oh well, Lemonis has gotten us this far.

Yup anything can happen. No gimmes at this point. Poor Louisville. They'd have to run the SEC gauntlet to win the title.
