AU scout board reporting MSU under investigation for Newton recruitment
And in other news, the AU scout board will soon announce that Vanderbilt absolutely positively cheats 100% of the time.

One thing I never understood is how did Kenny Rogers know to contact Bill Bell for money unless they have done this before? He had to know that Bell could deliver else why go to Bell in the first place?

When has this ever happened EVER before in NCAA history where a school got in trouble for recruiting a kid who NEVER enrolled there.
Dude - If you got jackasses (former MSU players) brokering P4P deals with parents & players on behalf of your school, you're in deep shite.
If they were just any old Sean Nelson, Walt Williams or Lyles runnin a recruiting agency for $$ and contacts to 5 star recruits, you MIGHT be in the good...

Nope, I just like facts. You know, like the fact that The Artful Dodger never beat UA.

What were the reputations of those players? I feel like that would have an effect.
Stanley McClover was strongly advised to stay one more year. In fact, some NFL scouts assured him that if he stayed one more year, he would be a 1st or 2nd round draft pick and probably would still be a player in the NFL today. Instead, he went his own way, got drafted late, and busted out of the league. He also was desperate to get attention for his "foundation", which HBO became a sponsor after the interview.
Raven Gray was pissed off when he tore up his knee, and he threw a temper tantrum towards the coaches because he thought they were going to take back their scholarship offer. They had to calm him down and assure him he was still promised a spot on the team. Then, he ruined his own opportunity and never played a down for Auburn.
Chaz Ramsey tore up his back and had surgery. Decided to work out on his own. Hugh Nall says some unkind things to him about working out. Ramsey reinjures his back and ruins his own career. They sue Auburn, but the case isn't really going anywhere except the media onslaught. Auburn settles with the Ramseys out of court.
Troy Reddick applied for a job as a graduate assistant at Auburn last year and was turned down. He also requested BCS Championship game tickets from the school and his request was denied. If Auburn was as bad as he portrayed it in his interview, why try so hard to go back?
These were the only four kids they could get to speak, after literally reaching out to 200 Auburn players, and these were the only 4 they could get to say this garbage. Several others interviewed and said explicitly that that never happened. Those interviews were cut.

I try to give them the benefit of the doubt to the fans that aren't being to crazy. It wasn't too long ago that people thought Tennessee was running a prostitution ring and that the NCAA was going to come to Knoxville and burn Neyland Stadium to the ground.

I can see a future post on ITAT:
"Kiffin paid Cam Newton to go to Auburn and bring down Mississippi State at the same time."

You say this, yet you do not believe that MSU has NCAA investigators asking questions about recruiting misdeeds that happened at MSU.
What do you call NCAA investigators asking questions to your coaches, boosters, ex-players? Interviewing?
What do you call it when an investigator is asking questions(interviewing) in the the course of his/her job? Investigation?
Come on man, you are more head in the sand than some AU folks

Interviewing and gathering info is part of the investigation process, so yes it is basically the same thing. If they are interviewing people to gather info on what went on at MSU regarding Cam Newton, then yes we are under investigation.

MSU fans are just as delusional if you don't think it harms MSU that your former players were out brokering P4P deals with the parents (Cecil) of prospective recruits (Cam).
Rogers knew who to call (Bill Bell) to get Cecil his $$ - Rogers and Cecil had a payment plan in place, three installments IIRC.
Makes a person wonder how many deals has Rogers been a part of, and how many times had he contacted the moneyman in the past.....

FWIW Rogers is the same person who helped Brent Schaffer land at Ole Miss and also who shopped around Jeremiah Masoli this past summer as well.
The dude may have played at State but he is far from being closely associated to the program. Im sure he knows people to talk to at every big program in the southeast.

I can guarantee you it won't be one of those " 3 week" irontiger predictions that never came to pass.
Sit back, watch, and enjoy. It's going to be a long drawn out process.

True, The problem MSU is facing is, he is clearly a MSU booster under the definition and there is no peaches workaround for that

All fans are delusional when it comes to their school doing something crooked, we all want to believe that we are doing it the right way, when in actuality we're all doing something wrong. I want the shite to go away like a bad case of crabs, nothing good can come out of any of this. Do I believe MSU was ready to pay, yes, how much,
