Asked about the NCAA's investigation into the recruitment of former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton, Slive says he has not heard anything indicating that the governing body has closed the case.
This is hardly a shock

So you agree with everyone except Auburn fans.
I don't see why Auburn fans would have a hard time believing it. Plenty of players around the country have gotten extra benefits. There's no way there's so much smoke over nothing, IMO. It's really just about whether the NCAA can find proof.

MSU is soiled in all this regardless if the Bishop received anything at all - because these "men" were acting on behalf of MSU, much like the Bishop was acting on behalf of his son.
Rogers was acting on behalf of Cam, not MSU. If bell or bond were negotiating, they were acting on behald of msu, If they were negotiating.

There was talk between Rogers / Bond / Cecil about P4P. That is understood. What we don't know, is if any MSU coaches or boosters knew about it. I believe that is what the investigation is trying to determine. If there is an investigation?

Auburn's got their own issues with players claiming they received extra benefits. Hell, four of 'em went on TV and exposed the AU program and coaching staff.

Only ppl like you believed those four troubled men

Posted on 4/19/11 at 2:22 pm to RT1941
Because it is not against the rules for coaches to make contact with a player and his parent, especially if that player is on an official visit, which I believe he was since the alleged meeting was after a MSU game. The coach or coaches could have been called to just "talk to the player" then once they arrived, Cecil requested money. The kicker here is if the coaches agreed to money talks, or said "no we will have none of that". If the latter occurred, then no violation occurred, Unless it was in fact improper contact by the coaches to a recruit, which is a minor infraction.
Like I said though, it would have to be proven that money talks actually took place.

And that's the gist of it in the court of public opinion.
Because some dipshits with a clear agenda relentlessly attack Auburn, and come up empty handed every single time, we must be guilty...

sorry for using the same word multiple times. I am not sure why that's funny. People on here are talking about testimonies and shite. Where the hell have I been and where are these testimonies and shite.

I'd hate to see that at Tennessee. Hopefully none of our players do that.

Ok douchebag, Bond said the rough smokers voice female was NYCAuburn's wife, she was wanting to get her grind on, sorry, but one that I listened to was a voicemail, it was the one that Bond said was Kenny and Cecil asking if the money was coming, another one that I heard had a second party, it was a conversation between 2 or more people. As stated earlier, John Bond, Ridgeland, MS white pages try it, he may let you listen to them. You keep overlooking the obvious that I stated, it want come out good for you or us.
See when your initial story has things added to it, like now, it is a voicemail, yet a few post ago you were not sure if it was or not, your story becomes much less believable. So I suggest next time, keep these little things to yourself. If you wish to tell everyone, but not tell everyone, you might want to say a little more than what has been all over the news and what has been speculated before, Asshat
