$2.319/gal for regular gasoline at Sam’s (in Meridian). The average gas price in the country 45 years ago was $1.25/gallon. That works out to an average inflation rate of < 1.5%/yr for regular gas (when compared to US average of 1980). The inflation of the US Dollar has averaged 3.09% over that time. Gas prices are not the problem (and, No, I don’t work in the oil and gas industry).

Not gonna lie, it's tough to be on the cusp of the SECCG and the CFP and only have to win a couple of games against podunk teams in order to get there. You should thank your lucky stars that Auburn isn't ever in that position.
