Alabama is a massive national brand now, so the bandwagon has brought in a ton of money as well from around the country.
quote:
No you're not. Since I moved to Florida, I may have seen 1 Bama sticker on a car to every 100 AU one.
quote:
Massive national brand? I travel a bit and never see anything Bama. In south Florida I see about triple AU stuff to Bama stuff.
I really don't care about this issue of who sells merchandise where other than the fact that I am just dumbfounded by the succession of Aubs on this post claiming Alabama is not a national brand. Why in god's name does your alleged and oppressive Alabama Media/ESPN bias exist if it weren't for the fact that Alabama sells? Where is ESPN's motivation? Are you saying that these dumb bammer bandwagoners that make up about 50% of the inhabitants of the very poor 22nd most populated state buy so much gear that they offset the potential of the rest of the country combined? I guess you will just have to say yes to that question to continue to live in the fantasy world you have built for yourself, but I wish you understood how foolish you look. Again, no one here is bragging about national brands or selling the most merchandise, they are just stating that these things exist. I'm surprised that is controversial for so many here.

When 95% of the state of Alabama will buy at least a UA hat, shirt and bumpersticker, I'm not shocked they did so well
I think it's more that they have been so good recently they are getting national appeal. Seeing Bama merchandise in the Lone Star State is becoming more and more frequent. The population of the DFW and Houston metroplexes combined is triple the entire population of Alabama, to put it in perspective.

No point in arguing with the Aubs. Theyve never been wrong. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I liked the one who came in and educated us on the difference between revenue and profit.

Bottom line, gumps are dumb.
Moving on, next topic, end thread, etc.

This is actually pretty reasonable. Just can't understand the Aubs here that are trying to explain away this phenomenon as 100% Alabama/Miss/ GA bandwagoners.

God I love all your jealousy and anger. When I say never change, I really mean it. You're a treasure trove of laughs.

Little brothering running rampant. Wait till October when they do that usual Auburn "Munson" with expectations.

quote:That's about a 24% profit margin. How does that stack up to the general average?
So does nobody here understand the difference between revenue and profit? Revenue is the amount of money generated, not taking costs into consideration. They didn't profit $143 million, they actually only profited $34 million because they had $109 million in expenses. Don't get me wrong $34 million profit is great! But let's not get these numbers confused.

What was Auburn's profit last year?

Also, Wisconsin brought in more revenue than you.

Athletic revenue at Alabama
Besides football, what are the revenue sports at Bama? Are basketball and baseball pulling in millions of dollars?
I know they're proud of their softball and gymnastics programs. Those two have to bring in lots of folks. At least a couple hundred.
Then there's Skoal Juice Spitting, Marathon Checkers, and Gun-Rack Installing.
But I think 90% of their revenue comes from just the Spring Game alone...

He really is the best on here. I really don't know who his bammer equivalent on this board would be but it would not be a pretty sight to get them in the same room together.

But make no mistake in what I'm saying, it's bandwagoners. It has nothing to do with some divine right to winning that gumps believe the Tide are entitled to. It would happen to any team that was lucky enough to fall arse backwards in to Saban.

Louisiana swamp trash are among the few people that make Alabama look sophisticated.

Tons of people outside of the state are buying UA gear. When I go back home to visit Texas I can at least see 10+ people wearing UA gear a day.

You do seem like someone who would fight over something as trivial as fan allegiance.
