Orgeron. At least you can trust the mans word. Kiffin is like a used car salesman. Will tell players what they want to here. I believe coach O is a genuine honest person who will have his players back. Can the same be said for kiffin?
Kiffin reminds me of Bobby Petrino. Great offensive mind but a slimy human being! Havent heard past players say anything positive about petrino or kiffin. Coach O on the other hand has the respect of former players and i believe he will be a fine coach for LSU.

Anyone with the capacity to be honest will answer Kiffin.

Kiffin went 4-7 in his last 11 games as USC's head coach. He was fired on the airport tarmac early one morning after a blow out loss.

Orgeron took over that team after Kiffin was fired and went 6-2. Including a win against #4 Stanford.

Is there an option C? These both suck.

I would hope there were more candidates.

Kiffin has screwed up everywhere he has been as HC.

I'm not sold on Ed O yet. He may have learned from his previous HC experience. Only time will tell on that.

The only recruits that Beliema will ever get in La. are the ones that LSU (and a few other smaller schools there) and maybe Alabama turn down. Slim pickings. Arkansas has never recruited well. Not even coaches really.

R-Kansas is getting observation decks at their stadium. It's going to be a redneck pleasuredome. That's bound to send recruiting sky high now.

If those were the choices, I think the AD should be fired.

I'd take Kiffin over O any day.

USC, the only program that has first-hand experience, ended up choosing Orgeron.

Kiffin is by far the sexier pick, but he's shown the ability to blow the program up in rapid fashion. He's made a mess in a hurry everywhere he's been the guy in charge.
I'd want to see some hard evidence that he's learned his lesson, and is mature now.

Orgeron's not an A list pick, but I think he's a safer pick. He's been humbled to the point that he won't make any waves, and will do anything you ask, if that gives him this one last chance. We've all heard the expression "I'd give my left nut to do ____"; Orgeron getting a shot at LSU fits that description. We'll see just how much he's learned over the years, because I could see him doing everything he possibly can to make this work.

Well, Orgeron is 0-7 lifetime against Alabama, so that's who I would hire if I was LSU

This is fricking dumb. Name the coaches that have good records against Saban.

Les Miles is better than either choice.

Orgeron speaks the language of those people in their accent, so he had that going for him.

Lane stood in the same room with evil WarLord Saban and survived the closeness, so he has witchery going for him.

Both have a place. At least they aren't Jester Mullen or Bucky The Beaver.

Orgeron hands down over Kiffin as a Head Coach. Kiffin is loyal only to himself, and beholding to nobody.
