Best guess as to the sanctions.
1)2 year bowl ban. Should've jumped out front and self imposed your bowl ban about 6 weeks into the '16 season. Now you are looking at 3 years with no bowl.
2)The loss of 20-25 scholarships over a 3 year period.
3)The vacating of all wins during the investigated time period.
4)A show cause placed on the head of Mr. "Holier than thou Right Reverend" Hugh Freeze.
5) 4-5 year probation period
That's less than what USC got.

If MSU gets in trouble too, can we name the new thread
"As the pastures burn" ?
"As the pastures burn" ?

Nah....They already made a movie....it was called Mississippi Burning. Gene Hackman played the part of Hugh Freeze leading the klan people as they terrorized central Mississippi. Same plot.

Hey Freeze, how many emails have you sent in to that address? Because the WORLD now knows you were involved!
If you sent none, sit down, stfu, and get ready for the 20" of ncaa cock to go in dry

Close to what I'm thinking, but a few changes:
1) I agree
2) 40+
3) I don't think this will happen
4) Show cause for Freeze, Farrar, and Harris
5) 5 years probation
6) LOIC because they failed to display:
- Adequate compliance measures.
- Appropriate education on those compliance measures.
- Sufficient monitoring to ensure the compliance measures are followed.
- Swift action upon learning of a violation.

Don't know if they will go that steep. A 2 year bowl ban would allow any junior and senior to step away now and be immediately eligible. That will cripple them pretty bad. 40+ over 3 would KILL the program!!

Is ole miss gone? If so, who replaces them?

I vote to add middle Tennessee state.

Reb fans on 247 are wanting to leave the SEC because it's a "dirty conference". That's some next level butthurt.

Read that the Black Bears hired a former NCAA compliance officer to work in their athletic dept but not sure when the hire took place. Assuming in the beginning, 2 years ago or so?

Do we know when the axe is going to fall?

A convicted billion dollar ponzi schemer actively trying to hurt the school, and all he could prove was that he gave some kids a few hundred and partied with them on his yacht and shite.
He wasn't paying recruits thousands. He was giving kids some money so that they'd be his friend and be future clients for his ponzi scheme. He was a POS that was trying to hurt the school, so the NCAA had ALL the info possible, even if it was illegally obtained. In the Ole Miss case they probably don't know half of what was truly going on, yet they already have more evidence of higher payouts to players/recruits. The 1995 Miami Pell Grant scandal was worse though, and that resulted in our dynasty falling apart (for 5 yrs) and 31 scholarship reduction and 1 yr post season ban.

And nobody can prove that he handed the school president a $50,000 check. Oh, wait a second....
Yeah, I'm sure with all the money he stole, he was just giving future 1st round picks a few bucks for pizza and gas money. Just because he was a thief,.....that doesn't make everything that comes out of his mouth a lie. When he got busted on the Ponzi scheme he confessed. If he says he threw $2 million at amateur athletes, I'm going to tend to believe him.
