this is a suggestion of which schools could play who in football year in and year out, while rotating the other SEC schools. What changes would you suggest?
School - Rival 1, Rival 2, Rival 3
LSU - Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Alabama
Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee, LSU
Arkansas - Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma
Auburn - Alabama, Georgia, Florida
Florida - Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn
Georgia - Auburn, Florida, South Carolina
Kentucky - Missouri, MS State, South Carolina
MS State - Ole Miss, Kentucky, Missouri
Missouri - Arkansas, Kentucky, MS State
Ole Miss - MS State, LSU, Vanderbilt
Oklahoma - Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas
South Carolina - Kentucky, Georgia, Vanderbilt
Tennessee - Alabama, Florida, Vanderbilt
Texas - Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas
Texas A&M - Texas, Oklahoma, LSU
Vanderbilt - Tennessee, Ole Miss, South Carolina

They’re going to do pods. We will play 8&4 and the Mississippi schools annually and rotate everyone else playing them all twice every 4 years.

Has this been decided? Got a link?

It’s been all but said and makes the most sense for branding purposes.

Florida is a way bigger rival for us than A&M
It should be Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss
It should be Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss

Yeah I’m gonna be pissed if they put us in a pod with 8&4 and the Mississippi schools. I love playing Bama, Florida and Auburn. God I wish we didn’t let Texas and OU in.

And who would be in each pod? Put the old Big 12, Ok, Tex, ATM and Mo together... LSU, OM, MSU and Ark. Fla, Ga, SC, Aub. That leaves Vandy, Ky, Ala and Tenn ... I'm sure politics will get involved ...

If we move to pods and get Ole Miss and Miss State that is a great draw for us. I wouldnt give them the satisfaction of calling A&M our rivals but gotta admit it would definitely become one fast if they’re the 4th team.
Could also see them being grouped with Texas, OU and Mizzou though. That would mean our 4th team would likely be Arkansas but there’s no way we get that good of a draw with offices being in Birmingham.

It sucks but there’s no way to keep all the rivalries annual. We will still play all those teams often though
The SEC of the future will more resemble the NFL than it will the SEC of 30 years ago. It is what it is.

They dropped their protest when Sankey promised they wouldn’t be in Texas’ pod.
The big political fight is breaking up either Bama-Tennessee or Auburn-Georgia. Can’t have all 4 of those teams in one pod and they won’t break up the Iron Bowl.

This really isn't that difficult. Break it up in to 4 geographic divisions.
SEC "West" - Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas
SEC "South" - A&M, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss. St
SEC "North" - Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
SEC "East" - Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky.
The only traditional "rivalry" not automatically preserved is Auburn v. Georgia. Everything else naturally stays. Texas v. OU; Bama v. Auburn; UGA v. Florida; Bama v. Tennessee; Ole Miss v. Miss St.
There SHOULD be no bitching about fairness. Each division has two "power" teams and two "2nd tier" teams.
Play 3 games against your division opponents; Rotate inter-divisional matchups each year (like the NFL); Play 1 (or 2) teams from the other division(s) you aren't matched up against that season based upon finish from the previous year (also like the NFL)
EDT: The only thing I MAY change would be to nix picking the 1 cross-division game based upon the prior year's division standings. The reason is because it is likely the same 1-2 teams are going to win the division each year.

Yup, and you can brand those 4 divisions for the casual fan and avoid the confusion tB1G had with the legends and leaders fiasco

"Whom", who plays whom?

This the best solution and actually gives more schedule variety which I think the fans would appreciate. Having said that, I could see the SEC royally screwing this up and creating two huge divisions with weird scheduling rules that maintain Bama/TN, Iron bowl, and UGA/Aub.
eta It makes more sense to swap A&M and Arkansas but it's been speculated the SEC may throw A&M a bone and keep them away from Texas every year.

The real reason is so they can go to ESPN or Amazon or whoever and say if you buy the SEC package for 8 years, you get every possible SEC matchup 4 times and at every stadium twice.
Too much money in selling, for example, Oklahoma visiting The Swamp, to only have that game once every 20 years or whatever.

1. I doubt the SEC will end up in pods. It is easier to simply keep 2, 8-team divisions, East and West.
2. Put Bama and Auburn in the SECE, Mizzou, Texas, and OU to the SECW. That division situation preserves the necessary historic rivalries, makes determining an SEC championship game participants less complicated.
3. The only question is will we go to 9 SEC games or stick with 8.

Geographically, yes. A&M is further west than Arkansas. And renewing the A&M v. Texas rivalry would be good for the casual fan. But swapping A&M for Arkansas would really load the deck in LSU's favor and make the SEC "West" clearly the toughest division. If the goal is to make the "fairest" divisions, A&M needs to be in the "South"
