They barely beat a Mizzou team without Tilmon. Slow y’all’s roll. Tilmon is by far our best player outside Pinson.

I'd be happy to finish the last five at 3-2. That would be good for 3/4 seed if we played in the Big Ten.

I remember those many years when Alabama fans would put on the "basketball doesn't matter to us, football is where it's at act." This is why SEC fans have a difficult time with this faux interest in basketball of the Yeller Hammers. Your new found interest in hoops. My only hope is that if your hoop team makes it to the final four for the first time and lose, some father in Pinson, AL won't grab for his pistol and graze his son's head if the boy simply ask for the keys to the car. Bammers, if your fans can reach this level of stupidity reacting to basketball losses, then and only then will your fans will be taken seriously. LINK

Alabama has a large contingency of basketball fans and has for 50+ years. We are't Kentucky or Arkansas but we are an above average SEC fanbase in terms of consistent support. It's why anytime we show any bit of life as a program we pack a 15,000 seat arena (see the 1980s, 2000-2006, 2009-2012, 2016, 2018, 2020). From 1982-2006 we went to the NCAA Tournament 17 times in 25 years. People filled the Coliseum. We're not a johnny come lately to caring about basketball.
We also have a large contingency of bandwagon football fans who only care about other sports when they are good. They also are generally the loudest and most obnoxious. We can't control them in football either.

wasn't trolling at all. I just absolutely love Pinson (No Homo).. .that dude is fearless, and has an incredible BB IQ. I see tillman like a bunch of players through the years, big, athletic, brute. Pinson is just so much fun to watch.. .unless it is against us. then I absolutely hate watching him, but remain in awe.

Ironically enough I think Ohio St. is arguably the best team in the country right now. Iowa is also very good. Purdue, Rutgers, Minnesota, Wisconsin...not so much. Illinois and Michigan are stupid overrated too as top 5 teams.
