Auburn is a great job. Auburn has a chance to win the SEC this year, with two weeks left in the season.

It should be embarrassing to Auburn fans that their coach might be headed to Arkansas anyway. But y'all got too much Bama in ya.

Man, this thread has enough triggers that you could use it for spare parts at the Smith & Wesson plant.

Didn't Arkansas want Tuberville at one point when he was at Auburn?

This is all about certain elements of the fan base being stuck in the past.

They wanted Gus to have full control of the offense back under Hootie, and their egos and childishness won't let them let him go.

I don't know anybody who likes Gus, apart from Cross Churchers. I know several people who are vociferous in their dislike of him, for whatever reason.

A lot of programs could do a lot worse than Gus Malzahn, including Auburn.

Keep in mind that it's the Arkansas BOT who's interested in Malzahn. It's not like fans of Arkansas have been dreaming of hiring him. If that were the case, Malzahn would probably be coaching for Arkansas today. Same with Tuberville before him.

Auburn's certainly the better program today, but Arkansas was certainly better in the 70's.

No. Our AD wanted Tuberville before Auburn hired him, while he was at Ole Miss, but a search committee decided on Nutt, instead.

Hell no. But you've piqued my curiosity.

Are they pro or nega-Gus?

Auburn University has 12 undefeated seasons. Out of curiosity how many does the university of Alabama have?

And both have the major NCAA violations that they picked up along the way. Both certainly deserve more than they have.
