Aaron Torres says Gruden hints at coaching in sec. I don't recall Gruden being very successful

Yeah no proven coach will take the Arkansas job. They have to take a chance with an up and comer

He’d be 75 in your first season.

Ask yourself, would Nick want to go to war with the 9th’ish best war chest in his own conference? Add this to the fact every coach would be ready for revenge? Good luck.

As great as he is he operated with top tier facilities and bagmen.

Agreed. No established P4 coach is taking that job for marginal pay increase. Would have to give them a Jimbo type deal. If I were AD, do my homework (no outside consultants) and look for candidates under 40. Game has changed and need to have social media, organizational, football skills. Need someone with relentless energy. Days of HC hiding in film room scheming are gone. It’s 24/7 and goes way beyond x and o. Petrino is a talented coordinator but a dinosaur as HC. Just my opinion.

Coaching salaries are ridiculous. Sam was making around 6.5 million bucks and was 13 in the conference in pay.

There’s got to be a way to rein that in.

We’ll probably go after Lashlee because he’s making 2.3 million and we’ll try to get him on the cheap.

Then do it again in 6 years.

A young Houston Nutt would have been legit in the NIL era though tbh

Everyone on Earth said the same thing about Calipari.

Arkansas has a respectable basketball tradition. Calipari was also run out of Kentucky, wrong or not. Football is a different matter

Arkansas football and basketball are mirrors of each other from a competitiveness standpoint.

Both programs are as competitive as the other over the course of their history. Both are top 30 in wins all-time with one national championship in each.

Whatever you think of one, you have to think of the others.

I went to a little bit better of an Academic school than Alabama. Have friends in that state though

Arkansas needs to just give up the sport of football.

Except Walmart, outside of Bud helping finance the basketball arena back in the early 90’s, contributes nothing to the athletic department. If they did it would be a game changer

If walmart unloads a boatload they could always go after urban "stinkfinger" meyer.
