There is only one SEC Champions trophey and it will be awarded to alabama next Friday at the SECT. Whoever wins the SECTy will get a trophey that says SEC Tournament Champions.

All I know is that ALABAMA received the AP and UPI trophies confirming their National Championship in 1964. Much like the barners in 2004, Arky had to find validation elsewhere.
But then arky was actually in control of their destiny one time in 1969. But they lost a heartbreaker to Texas and president Nixon gave Texas the defacto NC. Back then presidents had those types of all-encompassing powers.
I think we can all fairly say that the first 150 years of razorback college football has produced absolutely nothing. Here's to the next 150 years.

All that matters is who has the trophy, home slice. Both teams finished 10-0 in the regular season and the regular season was what mattered in 1964. Not some lousy exhibition game that the players half-assed their way through after the title had already been won.
Anyways...all you had to do was wait a year. If Arkansas hadn't bitched and moaned to the Associated Press about being "robbed" of a national title, you probably would have split the championship with Michigan State in 1965.

I love how the same people will moan and complain about how you shouldn’t judge movies and TV from 50 years ago by today’s standards will want to apply more recent championship criteria to seasons that predate those criteria.

Had to get to bed early. Wanted to be in the gulf by 7. Caught the first Cobia of the season. Btw I was born in 70 so calling me pops might be a little much. I am retired so a guess you assumed I was 60-70. Worked hard and made lots of money enabling me to retire at 50 and live the good life. Fishing, golf, traveling, and before the virus attending sporting events all over the country. Heading for Kiva Dunes now. Have a wonderful afternoon.
