85% of D-I football players play within 4 hours of their home. Look at that map and get back to us.

That would include the DFW area.

New money can never compete with old money.

For example, old money finds a way too keep Petrino. New money runs him off.

It’s just the way the world works.

Arkansas is new money.

You’ll frick up this hire just like the last one.

Texas A&M is the sleeping giant not Arkansas

Spent 500 million on a stadium that is ugly

Never have filled it

Nah. A&M will never be successful in anything they do. I take that back they will add another 100,000 subpar students to tank their academics as well

Cobi Hamilton and Ryan Mallett weren't that long ago, bro. We recruit Texas just fine when we actually have a pulse.

Texarkana doesn't really count as TX in terms of recruiting. You can damn near hit a golf ball to the AR side from Texas High School.

16th richest doesn't put you in elite status. That's like saying we're the 10th or 12th winningest program of all time. Outside the top 5 or 6 in anything and you are just another program.

An entire 1 spot in front of us is UGA. Hell, A&M is listed as #1. It's hard to find reasons why we aren't competitive. It goes back to coaching and administration. Which we are fixing.

Mallet was 10 classes ago, who is CHamilton?
You can't even spell Mallett correctly and you don't even know who the all-SEC NFL draft pick WR was that came out of THE Texas High. All I need to know about how informed you are.

I'm very aware. Both my parents are Arkansas High graduates.

Here ya go Lunchbox...

Since 1997 Arkansas has signed less than 10 TX HS kids ranked in the top 50. 1,000 players... you signed <10.

SMU, Directional LA, Purdue, Iowa, Rice, Our Mother of the Mattress State... that’s your production peers in Texas HS recruiting Bacon Boy.

This whole thread is sad and should be depressing to Arkansas fans.

“Wahhhh we should be better because the Wal-Mart founders are from Arkansas, WAHHHHHH”

Arkansas is a third rate program. There is no miracle coach that can come in and have you contending for championships 10 years from now, and if he existed he would not go to Arkansas.

half of texas, louisiana, missouri, oklahoma, mississippi; Tulsa/OKC to KC to STL to Memphis to DFW. We have a nice recruiting territory.

Jealous of what? Your AD just got shite canned for sucking, and when your shitty coach gets the can he will probably try to eat it.

People on here confuse academic revenue, AD revenue and real revenue when it comes to coaches contracts.

Stanford, Michigan & Texas would own NCAA football if academic fiscal was in play.

It’s the big donors, y’all have top tier booster wealth.. they either don’t care or care more about their NFL team. If one of the Walton tree decided Razorback football was their hobby UA would be Oregon 2.0.

I think that's the point of the thread. We need a good coach to take advantage of that territory.

We recruit better than TCU and Oklahoma State but they have been a lot better than us lately because they have the best coaches in their history while we have had one of the worst
