Not making this up.
Sanity was beaten out of hogs Saturday

From Arkansas Forum :

quote:

by gohogs141, "Norvell seems like the obvious choice for next OC if he doesn’t get a smaller HC job after FSU"

quote:

By SmackoverHawg, "HIre Art Briles"

quote:

By Hawgnsincebirth55, "maybe Dan lanning, it maybe sarkisian, in a year or 2 in might be lane again."

quote:

By ArHog, "Is 5 wins too much to ask?"

quote:

By BoarEd, "Call Jeff Traylor. Call Kenny Dillingham. I laughed at it before, but call Eric Morris"

Silverfield’s buyout is like $23 million.

They should hire Odom. He’s good enough to win them 6 games which is probably their ceiling.

Hiring briles, what a nightmare.

I’m curious. Judging from the number of comments and posts you’ve made the last few weeks, you’re following the train wreck at Arkansas as closely as many of us are. Now you’re lurking our board. Why?

It’s kinda odd.

$33 million.

If he goes 1-11.

Might be that he is scared to see Arkansas to be back to beating LSU.

It won't matter who the HC is until they decide to invest in NIL.

How can you want to replace Siverfield with Norvell?

Fun Fact: As bad as Norvell has been at FSU, the team Silverfield inherited from him at Memphis had played in 3 consecutive AAC title games and won it in 2019. Over the next six seasons, Silverfield promptly finished in the bottom half of the conference three seasons. Two T-3s were his crowning achievement in his time there. Why we expected him to be competitive in the SEC is a mystery.

I would say they are basically the same type of coach. You gamble anytime you hire a guy from a smaller school like that. If it works it works but if the move turns out to be a miss it usually ends in disaster.

"lurking"? Naw just reading, like I do with Texas, AL, Ole Miss, etc.

Interested in what's happening in Arkansas.

SEC is better when AR is good enough to knock off a top 10 team now and then.

SEC rant is way more fun when pigs fly.
Some of the most interesting and intertaining members are Hog Fans.
This board was a blast when AR beat Texas, and A&M

Agreed.

Most may have forgotten this. It was pre-NIL and an outlier, but on January 10, 2012 we finished the 2011 season 11-2 and ranked #5 in the country.

With the right coach, we CAN be very competitive. Hiring a below-average AAC coach was destined to end in disaster.

Nope, 70% of the contract is what you pay out if not for cause (according to AI).

You have fricking Walmart that should be funding your NIL. Somebody needs to get on the Walton’s arse and push for a commitment like Oregon has with Phil Knight.

I truly miss watching McFadden Jones and Hillis combine for one of the most lethal rushing attacks in SEC History.

I also enjoy when Arkansas is a no nonsense physical school

Why are the Walton’s obligated to fund Arkansas’ athletics?

Jimbo would be a better hire than Norvell

Nah, I’ll keep my money. These players deserve none of what they are getting. Yall can pay players an average of 800K a year if you want. Congrats, I guess
