He said a long career, not a long career at Nevada. Take a breath.

I think Musselman is a good hire, but of course, time will tell.

Yep and this would have been the case with any hire

What’s wrong with Musselman?
Seems like a great hire.

He likes trolling his own fanbase, he was never even a Mike fan

Welp....those are good coaches, son.

This is Arkansas baw. We don’t hire good coaches. We hire experiments, pay them top dollar and hope for the best. Which is why we suck. See Chad Morris for further proof

I was a huge Mike fan, but it was time for him to go. HY should have had this wrapped up way sooner if this is what he was gonna do. Between this and the idiotic Morris hire he's shown me everything I need to see about him and his leadership abilities.

Which is why changing Coaches is a risky deal. All Mike Anderson did was win which was not enough for Arkansas fans.
Now if the new coach does nothing but win (but not win enough) we replay this record again in about 4-6 years.

So we will see what happens going forward.

Why? It’s a recruiting dead period, what’s a few days matter?

So you think the BOT having anything to do with the hire is just totally false?

I have a wild idea: maybe he was doing his due diligence and interviewing multiple candidates. I don’t understand the “shouldve done it sooner” crowd. Why?

I agree, that argument only comes into play if Musselman came off the board because of waiting too long. Some are acting like Marshall was a lock.

Not really. Dude never won any game of significance and he lost every important game we ever had.

Muscle man will be better than Mike. But marginally at best

I like Eric. He’s a good coach but he’s going to need to have probly 2 ace recruiters on staff.

Agreed, we heard that he would have at least one or two spots open for assistants. He needs to get someone also good with the area.

But Musselman is a better coach than Mike Anderson, so what don't you understand about it

It's ok to be mad that you lost your access to the Arkansas board

Yeah. This is a good hire. Is it a slam dunk? No. But the only slam dunk hires are limited to about 10-15 coaches of whom only 1-2 are actually available at all and they’re really not a slam dunk either. There’s just a perception that they are.

I’d say there’s a far likelier chance that Musselman will success than fail. And that’s about all you can hope for in a coaching hire.

Muss is supposed to be a real pyscho that is impossible to work with. UCLA would not go near him in their search. He also had a loaded roster of 22-23 year old guys this year and couldn't do much with it. Arky wanted Beard and Got this crazy man instead.
