Arkansas fans - what is your expectation?

This is not meant to be condescending in any way. I'm genuinely curious as to what the expectation level is of the Arkansas fanbase. Obviously there are some SEC jobs where winning 7-8 games is enough to keep your job for a long time. I've never put Arkansas in that category, but it's just been down for so long there, I'm curious what Arkansas fans expect of their next coach.
I think Golesh is a good hire and a competent head coach. Only time will tell how good it was.

Arkansas is not that far off. Look at their losses this season. They lost tons of close games. I think they may have led the country in close losses. If they had any resemblance of a defense, they would have been a threat in the SEC. It will be interesting to see if they retain Petrino as OC. If not, somebody is going to snatch him up.

In my opinion, you don't hire an offensive minded coach like Golesh and then keep the OC. Kind of defeats the purpose.

I believe Arkansas should be a team that's bowl eligible almost every season. Arkansas should expect to average 8 wins a season and be in position, if the breaks fall right, to win 10+ and contend for the SEC. That's where we were at before the infamous Harley ride.
We can hope for more, but realistically, above is what we should expect.

Arkansas is a tragedy.
If they could lure the right coach, they have the money to be very competitive.
I feel for their fans.

Make a bowl game almost every season (missing it once in a while is understandable given this conference), a 10 win season once every 4-5 years or so and be in playoff contention.
I think most people would be happy with that. Talent base is just too shitty to expect more.

I think winning 9 is going to get you in the 16 team playoff moving forward.
