Stop saying he’s a bad coach, you are sounding like a moron.
Never said he was a bad coach. He’s a average to a little above average coach that is a great recruiter. As long as he keeps getting great talent he will win games. He’s just not a top 10 coach.
He would probably leave Arkansas for a NBA job, but he’s almost to old to coach in the NBA. He might be at Arkansas for 10 more years.

At least look up their history to know Muss was strictly pros until 2014 when he got into NCAAB as an assistant to learn the ins & outs.
I can look at Wikipedia and see his past coaching jobs.
As the HC of the Sacramento Kings he was 108-138. He took a few years off and tried to work his way back to the NBA by coaching in the D/G League. This year coaches in the G League had a annual salary of $75,000, so 13 years ago it was probably around $55,000.
Then a few years as an college Asst., HC at Nevada for 4 years, and 4 years at Arkansas.
From the G League
quote:
Coaches play a fundamental role in polishing and developing the skills and players recruited in the G league through different contracts. This is the reason that coaches are paid handsomely – the NBA G League coach earns a salary of $75,000 annually. There is an interesting fact to note that the assistant coach also earns the same salary earned by the main coach.

If this was a 100 percent fully healthy Arkansas team from November playing Kansas then Arkansas would still beat them with or without Self.
The only team in the NCAA tournament that was superior was UCONN. The rest was fair game.
Arkansas had starters such as Anthony Black who was playing through a foot injury before the Kansas game. Arkansas was in serious foul trouble with multiple starters and still won.
This Arkansas team never clicked during the regular season and during the NCAA tournament but Muss still found a way to get them to the second weekend.

So we should expect him to be really disruptive, fake a nearly season long injury and then opt out for the draft just as Black did?

He was also 2nd place in votes for Coach of the Year in 2002-2003 behind Popovich. He’s a great coach and you’re just a moron.

Get your names straight bub. Black was my Antony and he played a trillion minutes every game.

Agree. Arkansas was a failure last year. So let’s run it back with Holland.

You got your opinion on Muss coaching but it’s a bad one.
Not a single person that covers basketball or really knows the game agrees with you.
He prepares his players better than any coach in college. Lmao at comparing Self who’s been a college coach his entire life to one that has been one since 2015 (only at a good basketball school since 2019).
Muss didn’t have all the talent for his first two elite 8s.
Also there is a reason he was runner up coach of the year in the NBA.
Sit this one out Mizzou. Teams with no final 4s and borderline top 50 programs need to sit this one out.

You know we are good at basketball again when failures are sweet 16s.
We are finally back and it feels damn good

Can’t disagree if I’m being honest. Lot of “almost made it” and heartbreak since then. Permanent football PTSD.

Bill Self is a top 10 coach and probably a better recruiter than Musselman.
That's because he got his start with Eddie Sutton, who also owned Missouri at Arkansas.
Seems strange to see a Mizzou fan dickride Kansas, but you do you.

During the regular season? Yes no doubt but beating one seeded Kansas to a Sweet Sixteen appearance isn't a complete failure.

Since joining the league, he’s been to 2 Elite 8’s and 3 sweet 16’s, which beats anyone else in the conference.
The only season at Arkansas where Muss didn't make at least a Sweet 16 was 2020, the year there was no tournament. We beat Florida in the SECT the night before the country shut down.
