These idiots are worse than the gumps. At least the gumps have a recent memory of two decades of dominance. Ole Piss has been dog shite their entire life outside of the last couple seasons where they have been good but not elite

The fact is the SEC was not elite this year, winning 9 games in a relatively easy SEC schedule is not impressive. If they properly seeded the playoffs this year, it would likely be 3 B1G teams and ND in the quarter finals. Texas is going to get fricking murdered.

I dont see how it improves next year given the QBs in this conference. The year after that must be better. This is a fricking joke. All the best talent comes out of the south. We pay as much for coaches as anybody outside of a few B1G teams.

USCe got beat by Illinois with our former third string qb. They weren’t the better team.

But their resume was better is what he’s saying.. even with the head to head and yes yall beat them pretty easily.. they didn’t lose to mediocre teams on multiple occasions

you just described how South Carolina didn't win its bowl game against Bert - except the review for for a pass catch during the TV timeout between 1&2 quarter -

Bert apparently just as lucky to beat Carolina as LSU was to beat Ole Miss - by your criteria -

Yeah, Illinois got lucky to win. So what? If Scar was playoff caliber the score would have looked like the Duke game where luck doesn’t matter.

I was actually thinking about this last night. Ole Miss is a team that I’ve always viewed as second tier and as posters on here point out their history and habits, rightly so.

This year they could have been in the playoffs and they could have made some noise depending on the seeding, I think.

Does it NOT register to OM that all they had to do was not choke against the worst team in the conference? All I’ve seen is OM hand-wave that loss away by deflecting to their big wins. A real team and contender and fan base would be pissed at a bed wetting like that and demand accountability somehow. Someone would be fired.

It would be like Texas losing to Kansas and not being outraged. It’s weird and points to an immaturity that I think is found in the Mickey Mouse teams that still have a ways to go to be a serious program.

Of course we know choking against bad teams kept us out of the playoff. We are upset because unlike every other team in contention, we proved we could have won it all if we got in (3 wins against 9 win teams by an average of 24 points).

Bama was never winning it with milroe
South Carolina was never winning 4 games against ranked teams with Sellers. Miami was never winning it with that defense. Clemson is Clemson. Tennessee, smu, Indiana, and even Boise and ASU deserved to be in but were never going to win.

I would bet on ole miss on a neutral field against anyone in the country except OSU, ND, and maybe Oregon. Probably would have had ~10% odds to win it all depending on our draw. Just a shame we didn’t get to see that.

So where is the accountability and result for losing to the worst team(s)?

The variance is way too wild for anyone to trust any hypothetical projection from OM. You blowout a good UGA and then lose to the worst team in the league. Who can trust this OM team?

OM is like Kendall Roy. We are just sitting here watching you guys show bursts of brilliance and then do the dumbest thing possible and think “this is not a serious program”.

Notre Dame has a worse loss to a MAC school and is in the final 4. Just as much variance as us but didn’t slip up against mid tier conference opponents (because they aren’t in a conference). So don’t act like we’re crazy for saying we could have won it all

Big wins? They had 1 big win. It was against a team the fricking gold domers just dominated. Ole Piss would have got their arse wrecked in the playoffs. 3 unranked Ls and they think they deserve a shot at a title

You cannot say "one bad game" when it happened THREE times

Obviously, they are not used to even being in a position where a title isnt a pipe dream.

If it’s and buts were candies and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas.

Sounds like a new chapter in the book “WAOM: the story of a program who at times has almost been really good”

Yep. Leave it to Lane to lose a can't lose game. Cost them dearly.
