Are the Lambos getting re-poed at Texas?

Of the 3 freshman WR from last year, he was behind McCutcheon and Lockett. We're looking for 2 WR in the portal, so this kinda makes sense.

Texas processed a 5-star freshman who they just gave a Lambo to?

I thought they were rentals.

They aren't pushing for retention on most players unless they will see the field or are vital backups. Money is better spent on players that will see the field.

This started halfway through 2025 in recruiting. They attacked very high value blue chips for a few positions and then got some lower P4 guys that were committed to teams like Minnesota to fill out the class. They plan on developing those lower level kids at a lower NIL value and if they transfer out they aren't out as much money.

They only really whiffed on that LB that committed to tOSU today. Every other guy that was high on their board returned to the school they were transferring from.

I can get that position, in theory.

But the players that have hit the portal leaving the program don’t all fall into that characterization.
