It's very strange to me. It's quite obvious we are one of SC's 2 biggest rivals and have been for some time. The game dates back to the 1890s and we played many times prior to them joining the league, and I THINK they have played us more than any other team not named clemson.
I think most people would agree their rivalries go clemson far and away #1 followed by UGA. It's not like it's an insult to them or we're trying to "get them" somehow by claiming that.
IMO, the real issue behind this little thing is that they clearly are no better than 4th on our pecking order (and again, that's not a slight to them either in any way, it's jsut that tech/auburn/florida are guaranteed ahead of them) and they somehow feel slighted that we're so higher up on their pecking order.

If most UGA posters talked about it like this, I'm sure many USCe fans would agree. The problem is that many (not just UGA) try to play up the "you care more about us than we care about you". It is so dumb

Not sure you get to claim them as second biggest rival now that you play so infrequently. I get that there is likely a lot of feelings about that game... but if it was really and truly your #2 rivalry, you'd play the game more often.
I don't say this as giving a shite who your #2 rivalry is... just that it seems odd to claim this one.

2nd biggest is relative. We have 1 rival. But if you had to rank it 2 and 3 it’d be UNC and UGA in that order. Playing frequently doesn’t make for a rival.

Ain't that the truth. After doing more research, what really makes a rivalry game for USCjr is getting your arse beat. What determines the pecking order of rivals is your winning percentage against those teams.
1. Clemson - 69 losses .383 winning percentage
2. UNC - 34 losses .368 winning percentage
3. UGA - 50 losses .271 winning percentage
Makes sense that we would be third after looking at the numbers. We might actually be lower. I kinda believe CNB now when he said no one cares about the game outside of week 2. Who wants that pitiful record against a rival on their mind all year round?
