If you can show me the science behind your assumption that it takes 3 years to prove your point the hard way, I'm in. And given the fact that this 3rd year recruiting cycle is nowhere close to being finalized, it will be the hard way.
And this: The barners are now on head coach number 4 since 2020; maybe the real problems weren't Harsin's recruiting futility at the barn. You know, while we're speaking of science.

But there is this: Despite the Barn's problems hiring a decent HC they are still not relevant to the discussion. So your argunent is garbage and Deboer is still happily rushing mediocrity into your football program.

It is very comical to see the change in attitudes. When Alabama had top 3 recruiting classes every season ranters were lined up around the block to argue that recruiting rankings don’t really matter.
Now that Alabama is going to have a class that ranks outside the top 10 those same people are lined up around the block to argue that recruiting rankings are critical and Alabama is screwed.
Everyone knows that rationalization is a method that is used to get through sorrow, concern and recognition that things aren't looking great.
Maybe DeBoring can bolster everything through the portal if recruiting doesn't pick up.

Bama athletic department spent $1.25 million on private plane rides last year. When I pointed this out last week I was told it was for west coast recruiting. Great ROI they are getting

Theoretically, if successful, it could devalue high school recruits a bit which is probably the right move.

I have to assume based on the timing of the reporting this is for the 2025 recruiting class that had 8 signees from the West Coast. It was a top three class.
Conversely I would assume much less was spent on such expenditures for the 2026 class. It was much more regional, with most of the class from Alabama or bordering states. Also a top three class.
