First of all, I don't like your attitude.

We purposely signed a small class

It isn't even just a small class, the average isn't great either. It's really top heavy with Haven.

You only have 2 4 stars committed.

Two questions and neither are meant as a troll:

quote:

No. Everyone knows that Alabama will have a small class this season which by nature hurts recruiting rankings.

What size class are y'all expecting?

quote:

It is very comical to see the change in attitudes. When Alabama had top 3 recruiting classes every season ranters were lined up around the block to argue that recruiting rankings don’t really matter.

Now that Alabama is going to have a class that ranks outside the top 10 those same people are lined up around the block to argue that recruiting rankings are critical and Alabama is screwed.

Which thought do you ascribe to? They matter or they do not? And, out of curiosity, why is Alabama expected to have a small class this year?

Nope. Not as long as they return to top five level class for 2028. The argument is retaining the roster after this year. There’s only about 13 guys leaving between eligibility and NFL early entry.

I think Alabama has committments or is in the lead for the top 8 or so players in the state for 2028, and are currently ranked #1 for that class.

So it seems like they signed two really good cycles and most everyone stayed, resulting in them setting their sights down the road while focusing on retention.

Yep and its intentional. We will have a bunch of young talent playing this season that will need bumps to keep them.

A small class should result in a very high quality rating. That's not the case for bama.

But what's the point of signing a bunch of three stars?

With the increase to 105 scholarships, why not take a flyer on some 3-stars and see if you can develop them?

Wow! That is small. You have 14 now, but we all know in this day and time some will leave and, I'm sure some will join the class. Thanks!

And, like the poster above said, if you kept most of the players you just can't take as many.

As long as we are signing the top player in Louisiana, Top player in Georgia.. we’ll be fine.

Also, the current 2026 recruiting class we were number 2 overall in CFB and best in the SEC, and signed the top Bama kid.

2027 top bama kid was Philip Rivers kid. Nobody had a shot at him. He was going to NC State from birth. Plus we signed the top QB in the class from Louisiana. lol

Deboer needs to be adding as much beef to OL and DL depth chart as possible.

Until he figures that out his future is not uncertain

He did. In the 2026 class and portal. And most all of the depth there will be back in 2027.

Wouldn't an accomplice be charged?

Pro teams do extensive background checks, how did he pass?

I'm curious to see how this experiment works out. It's definitely a new approach.

No they fricking weren’t. It’s like 10 guys and they are loud as frick.

It’s been roundly proven through the dominance of Bama, UGA, and OSU that recruiting is equal to coaching in importance.
