Nope.
The only thing that would have been cool is if Michigan had won, then if Alabama had beaten Michigan, they would have been the first team to have wins over all 3 playoff opponents.
Georgia reminded Michigan that they didn't really belong, and that ended that possibility.

Get this through your collective heads: every day we each thank our personal God that we're not you. The entire LSU fan base has been stuck in a never-ending pandemic of vaginitis ever since 1/9/2012. We didn't give a shite about having to play Georgia. We didn't care who the opponent was. Oh sure, you might have found the odd fan here or there who said something stupid. And various fans may have had a preference for an opponent. But bitch about having to play Georgia like you Karens bitched about having to play us? No fricking way.

2003 we played a real close game with Georgia in tiger stadium and we won. I did feel after the game that Georgia was the better team and dreaded facing them in the SEC championship game. Well we beat them for a 2nd time pretty badly and went on to win the the Natty. Same thing again in 2011. We beat Bama but I felt they were the better team and did not think they would get another shot. Well the 2 teams played for the Natty and they were the 2 best teams by far in the country. 2 of the better defenses along with this years Georgia team ever in my opinion. That year we played about 9 quarters of football against Bama and only 1 touchdown was scored. Amazing.

It seemed like about half the posts on the scoreboard on Monday night by “Alabama fans” were by alters just looking to be a jackass. The WillyTs of the world were working overtime.

It’s a little different with a four team playoff than having only 2 teams in the entire country play for a title.
2011 was completely avoidable, this one not so much.

Not necessarily. I think we're upset that we destroyed Georgia in the first championship game when we were healthy, then lost our 2 best offensive players, and lost close in the second game, and because we lost game 2, we're considered the losers.

I mean, I tend to think that you shouldn't have to beat a team twice in the postseason unless it's a best of 3 series.

I still think we beat them again at full strength, but I was hoping Bama would not have to play them again as I thought they were the only team good enough to beat Bama.
If Okie State gains one more yard there was a real chance UGA does not make the playoffs after that beatdown. They did not have the resume everyone else had and they are in denial if they think there wasn't a real chance they were playing in NOLA.
All the others were conference champs and had Top Ten wins. All but one had multiple Top 15 wins (Cincinnati) and they were undefeated. UGA barely had wins in the Top 25.
You were one yard away from sitting home.

I think that's pretty obvious. We almost beat them without a passing game, which was our biggest edge. Instead it turned into a phonebooth type of game, and Georgia outphysicaled us.
It's actually remarkable that Alabama lost the ONLY 2 players that mattered (outsided of Bryce Young).

Not upset at all…I mean Bama and Georgia was/is the 2 best teams without a doubt.
What’s upsetting as a Bama fan is having to play Georgia again but without your top 2, 1,000 yard receivers but it is what it is!
