Gotta beat the best to be the best. Sometimes you gotta do it 2 or 3 times. That’s sports.

Not necessarily. I think we're upset that we destroyed Georgia in the first championship game when we were healthy, then lost our 2 best offensive players, and lost close in the second game, and because we lost game 2, we're considered the losers.
Kinda bull shite.
Are y'all somehow under the impression that we played injury free?
Just curious, because we had multiple wide receivers that did not play the entire year, and at least one was not at full speed in the title game but played. We were missing our best edge rusher, too. Imagine playing us without Will Anderson. No, our guy was not on Will Anderson's level, but he was not way off of it and he was as important to our defense as Anderson was to yours.
Sorry. But the injury thing is not the excuse y'all seem to think it is.
I should say some of y'all think it is. Not necessarily you.

That guy is a known alt troll and not an Alabama fan.

Absolutely. And for the past decade Alabama has been the gold standard.
And still are. One year does not make us the best thing ever, or drop Alabama from being the best for the past decade +.

If Bama wins a rematch: greatest injustice in sports history, media loves Bama, we must completely change the system, illegitimate title, how can you even be national champions if you didn't win your conference
If Bama loses a rematch: lol I did some digging and found 2 Bama fans complaining about it. Can you believe those idiots?

No why would anyone be upset they were the top two teams.

No, I believe they were more upset at the Alabama squad being at less than 100% because of injuries. But
Part of the game but this Alabama team we knew could not overcome those losses like Alabama teams in the past. Still made a hell of a show cinsidering they were down 4 starters that were available during the sec cg.

Of course not. Just pointing out the hypocrisy

Hell No. For this Bama team to make the NCG was Sabans best coaching job. I thought our season was over in JHS and then I thought there was no way we would win the SEC Championship.
Proud of this group and we’ve got a loaded team coming back for 2022

Ah! I didn't know. FTR, I get it. I mean not having Metchie alone makes a huge difference. Losing Williams was catastrophic. People should not discount those losses.
For the most part(Almost 100% of) Alabama fans have been extremely gracious, and it is appreciated.

You found more than I have, then. When I saw the thread title I was thinking that I had not seen any of you guys complaining about it.

Any Bama fan with good sense knows this team overachieved given the turnover from the 2020 roster, injuries that accumulated over the season, and the depth and experience of 2021 UGA.
Winning the SEC this year was an achievement. They lost to Aggy in early October. Like you just got respect the coaching job and effort of a few elite guys who put the team on their shoulders.

I would've rather played a much less talented Michigan team. But no. To win the title, you're supposed to beat the best. Bama and Georgia were the 2 best teams. And it was a close game we had the chance to win.
Good for Georgia. They earned it, and had a great team. And I've still seen Bama win a 6 pack of titles in a short amount of time. We win one next year, we're back at averaging half the titles over 14 years. Didn't get the ring, but it was still a fun year to watch.

I am not happy that Alabama lost but it kinda makes me feel good in an abstract sense about the health of the sport.
If Alabama won a title this year, it would’ve felt a lot like those Clemson teams in composition where they were weak at OL, mediocre in the secondary BUT elite at QB, WR, and RB while having a few pass rushers in the front seven. With an Alabama win on Monday, I think it may’ve been the sign that having a better roster top to bottom didn’t matter as much as just having future pro bowlers at QB and WR w/ a tailback that will make an NFL roster.
UGA winning this year shows that having a deeper roster and more balanced team gives you more avenues to win when injuries happen over the course of a season. If you’re going to win the Clemson way, you better have that NFL QB and hope your skill guys stay healthy.

It wasn’t an advantage for Alabama to go up against UGA again. However, I’d rather see Alabama play the legitimate best available opponent rather than some bullshite school getting in on winning a weak conference or a independent like ND. Georgia was the best and they proved it when it mattered the most. Congratulations to Georgia. It doesn’t take anything away from Alabama. Nobody can win them all. But, we try our damn best.
