FWIW, Candy Edwards was the ex wife of former Governor of La. Edwin Edwards. He was one of the most corrupt governors in La.History, and that's saying a lot. Which says a lot about her as well...i.e. she was not the "girl next door" type by any means.

Candy Edwards was indeed rumored to be his mistress. We all knew that. However, what I will take issue with is Candy herself. She is actually a lovely woman with a lovely family who has extended multiple courtesies and assistance to my daughter, when she had absolutely nothing to gain from it. She's a quality person who helps the underdog. In my house we speak about her with respect and good will.
