I still believe Gunner Stockton will be our starting QB in 23. If not to start the season, then at some point. I do think that the first 4 games on the schedule will provide the best scenario to break in a new starter.

I have no clue.
The surrounding cast will most definitely have a say (Stetson won the job from JT not because he was head and shoulders better... but because he could elude the pass rush and create offense when it wasn't there at the snap. Stetson just so happened to continually get better and better and better with each week's of reps with the 1s).

Gunner probably fits that mold best out of our 3 prospects for 2023. He may be most like Stetson in that room.
But if the OL and receiver room are improved, it could go to Carson or Brock being best running the offense.

Carson Beck ****
Brock Vandagriff *****
Gunner Stockton ****
Jackson Muschamp ***

I think we'll roll with what we have. When you recruit successfully, you don't have to pull dregs from the portal.

Funny, I've been thinking the same thing. Kid's a stud and a winner. Physical and smart like SFBIV with perhaps a slightly better arm and is a competitor.

For UGA, I think they'll stick with their current guys barring a pre-season transfer among the QB's. If one transfers, UGA will probably look for a 1 year guy to bring in as a backup for depth.

I'm less certain what Bama would do. Their current backup didn't play great when Young got hurt... so maybe they'd be more likely to look around. I thought the guy that they had at 3rd string would be pretty good... but he didn't play when Young got hurt.

Daniels yes. Bennett started at Georgia and transferred to juco to actually get some playing experience then came back.

Daniels was.

Bennett... kind of. He was a walk on at UGA, went to JUCO for a year and came back with a scholarship out of JuCo... so he's technically a JuCo recruit.

Why wasn't he the backup?

Because he's a true freshman, same as the true freshman at LSU that you guys claim is so great.

But you're a horrible judge of qbs anyway. In 21 you compared Brennan and Johnson favorably to Bryce Young. Huge fail.

No need to get defensive, it was just a question.

Nussmeier is currently a better option than Howard. That isn't hard to understand.

I simply said they all have the same completion percentage.

And they did.

Well, if Bennett can, then pretty much anybody can.

Bennett was originally a Dawg. Transferred out and back. Daniels was a transfer, but that’s before Kirby’s recruiting kicked in.

It’s been humorous to see you, the garbage time commie, go down with the sinking ship like this.

Dude has been mvp in huge games over and over and over, yet he sucks.

We score 45+ in 3 q’s over and over and over, yet we suck.

He scored 3 tds in 15 minutes against your own team, ending the game in the first half, yet he sucks.

Hey, 10RC doofus, Kirby keeps recruiting highly rated defensive players every year. That D will be here and in your nightmares for years. We’re not flashes in the pan like you hillbillies.
