Your parenthesis should be around hoax, not COVID. Potential college student outbreaks could shut down colleges as well as football. Wear masks, young idiots.

I can’t imagine face coverings aren’t required on all campuses.
They’re required at TAMU.

Yes, and I imagine a lot of students will comply, but masks only do so much. They don’t eliminate the need for social distancing.
Don’t let the dumbs on this webpage speak for SEC students and athletes. A lot of these conspiracy folks buy into Q nonsense - one of the dumbest, constantly disproven conspiracy peddlers out there.
Schools require them. Students will wear them [on canpus]. It’ll be interesting to see if that’s enough, but I’m betting that semesters will be cut short. I think if that happens we can explore keeping student athletes there and have a low risk season due to how dead SEC towns get without students. Won’t help programs like Vandy, but what can you do?

I haven’t heard anything re: our football players.
But soccer returned to action this week and appeared to be complying ... in 100 degree temps.

They are required at Alabama and the students have all been sent a warning that failure to comply can result in discipline up to and including suspension for the semester.

Masks, even with their limited effectiveness, simply prolong the agony.
