And you call yourself an LSU fan?

What do you expect? The majority of their fans are morons. They actively rip on Jimbo, who was hired by Scott, and in the same breath talk about what a great hire Scott made with Kelly. Legit talking out of both sides of their mouth. God bless those morons

Definitely happy. It's rare you convince one of the top coaches in the country to leave a historic program. No doubt Coach K gets the best out of these players.

Riley himself said the only team he has talked with was USCw. I know you are still hurting over Saturday but you do not need to lie about the coaching search.

The funny thing about this board is our "insiders" are trolled for not being insiders (because they aren't). The Riley stuff all started with said "insiders," so it's like the board knows they're not insiders, but they want to believe the part about LSU targeting and offering him (and whoever else made their way through the rumor mill)....and I guess would also have to believe LSU put together a massive deal and hired Kelly away from a blue blood program in 24 hours. Anyone who doesn't think LSU hadn't been talking to Kelly for at least a few weeks is ignorant or trolling

You can't blame LSU fans for being excited.

Look, here's the thing that posters either forget or don't want to acknowledge. Kelly went 4-8 in 2016. What did he do then? Fired people. Made changes. Then goes 10-3, 12-1, 11-2, 10-2, 11-1, with two CFP appearances, and could have had a 3rd this year if he'd stayed. Most posters would give their left nut to have a head coach who would pull the trigger on assistants like that and could engineer that kind of turnaround.

Now all that having been said, are Bama fans concerned? Of course not. Short of someone hiring Belichick, Bama fans aren't going to worry about anyone else's hire. And everyone else in the West is happy with their coaches, for the most part. Everyone else in the division has some reason to feel good about their coaches. But all probably have a grudging respect for LSU's hire, whether they admit it or not.

Based on the reports, we only asked one guy and he said no and then he said yes, so that's some pretty great work by Woodward for going after his guy until he gets the answer he wants.

You do realize that many "reports" say otherwise, right?

How exactly are you choosing which reports to believe? Surely it's not just the ones that happen to align with your desired narrative, correct?

As a sidewalk Bammer fan, I can understand you probably not remembering what it was like before your team hired Saban, or before your beloved Patriots and probably Yankees and Lakers won all those Super Bowls/World Series/NBA championships respectively.

I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Boudreaux. I'm an Alabama alumnus, along with the rest of my family.
I sold peanuts at Denny Stadium when "Ears" Whitworth was coach at Bama! I've probably been to more Alabama bowl games than you've been to LSU games in total!
I have sat in the stands and watched The Tide beat you coonasses more times and different ways than a country boy can get to town! So do yourself a favor, and get back to skinning that nutria you're having for supper, and be thankful I don't come down there and find you!

Because our last two coaches rode the short bus to practice.

Scott Woodward is a god amongst mere mortals. He delivered Jimbo to aTm and now he's followed up with Kelly to LSU.

It’s a great hire. Maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t, who knows, but it’s clearly a solid hire on paper.

Those are good points.

In fairness, your current AD hired Jimbo Fisher at A&M. Was that a good hire or a bad hire?

Facts don't do well around here. Prepare for some serious mental gymnastics with the responses.

Apologies. You can understand the mistake though. There's enough of you walking around in Walmart-bought crimson to shake an inbred stick at.
