Michigan State is good, and much better than SCarolina IMO

So what you're saying is that Oregon would win by the same margin in Lansing on Eastern Time?

Also, you're seriously crowing about Oregon's defense after your DC famously turned into a bleeding vagina because Washington State refused to stop trying to score last year?

Oregon and Texas A&M debating defense. This is surreal.

Defense based on yards allowed per play:

Oregon - A&M

2013: #7 - #107
2012: #26 - #37
2011: #35 - #14
2010: #11 - #18
2009: #12 - #92

Actually pretty impressive given that Oregon has a quick strike offense and isn't on the field long usually.

Oregon has been consistently good on defense for some time. This team looks like it will go to the next level. Holding Sparty to 3.26 yards per rush is a testament to the run defense and the fact that our defense gave up more to an FCS team is probably due to running our cover 3 all game long and played 70+ players like the coaches told us.

also somehow this turned into an Oregon v. aTm discussion. I'm not saying what you guys did week 1 was less/more impressive than what we did. If you were to ask me whether the Aggies or Ducks are better, I would say I don't know. Too early to tell imo. Our defense looked great in the first, third, and fourth quarter, but it was horrific in the second quarter.

I was only saying that devaluing a win over Michigan State because the rest of the conference is crap is stupid because we don't know how Michigan State compares to the other B1G teams yet. I think they will prove to be a pretty damn good team.

Very impressed with Oregon's speed on defense, as is typical. Very fast secondary. However, as is also typical, they seem to be vulnerable against the run which opens up the play action pass. If you can ever get Oregon's defense leaning, you can move the ball against them very effectively.

Michigan State was doing this for much of the game, but like most Big-10 teams they didn't seem to have 4 quarters of football in them.

No they want, they made it a specific point to state that they would draw their own conclusions and would avoid following these other polls

BYU smoked what was thought to be at least a solid Texas team.

that "solid" Texas team was down three starting o-linemen and their starting QB.

why anyone thought Texas had a chance in hell against a BYU team that smoked them last year going into the game like that is beyond me.

Oregon gave up 123 rushing yards.
