Oregon allowed a Big Ten school to score 4 touchdowns on them at home. They should drop 1 not go up 1 for that.

You know what's sadder than tu getting blown out by BYU? The fact that the best it earns BYU is a No. 25 ranking.

Agreed, BYU should definitely be higher than 25. I have no doubt they would take down some of those above them.

God I hate the hype Oregon gets. They would be the equivalent of Ole Miss in the SEC.

Based on games so far, Oregon probably deserves to be #1. FSU escaped last weekend and then goes in as 59 point favorites against the Citadel and wins 37-12. They don't exactly look like a #1 team.

The SEC the concern will be for the 5 teams in the top 10. 4 in the west all play each other and whoever the best is will probably see UGA in Atlanta if not before during the season. The SEC is going to have a rough road to get to the playoffs unscathed.

Hasn't this poll been decided pretty much useless. In the new playoff system the only poll that matters is the one the committee will put out around week 4 or 5

All polls besides the one from the committee are supposed to be useless but the committee will still use these when deciding their top 25.

No they want, they made it a specific point to state that they would draw their own conclusions and would avoid following these other polls
